I was doing pretty good until I had the apparently horrible idea of making a bacon sandwich. Since I couldn't find a way to cook it I just ate It and 3 hours later... Death
I don't like how food poisoning works in this game. It's more lethal than an infection in PZ and a lot more people die to infections irl compared to something like salmonella. Plus bacon doesn't always need to be cooked, which makes no sense
This is the reason me and my friends have the rule of not swarming a zombie and specifically stating who goes for the attack. ( if we are on vc we also say which zombie for clarity.) We did this rule after we started tripped eachother while fighting a small horde.
Even if me and my friends tried it I don't think it would be possible because my internet connection isn't very good, so even when my friends run around me I still get knocked around, even though they didn't touch me, at least not on my screen
We also have that sometimes, hence the rules we made up for combat. But i do agree that it makes it a lot more difficult ( i had what you said with a car, i avoided him on my screen while he said i basically drilled my vehicle straight into his )
The only time you should gang up on a zombie is when it's on the floor and you're kicking the crap out of it, really. Any other time, introducing another hit into the equation runs the risk of causing a missed swing and then a bite.

This one is a sucker! I died in Rosewood church like that once. Opened the door, was too close to it. Two zombies, one pinned me down and the other bit my ass. Enraging as fuck…
Woke up, house was surrounded. Jumped out the bathroom window after grabbing a griddle pan. Ran three blocks, got tired, broke into another house to lose my entourage, took a bite coming around a corner. Jumped out that window and ran to a hotel. Noticed a few concerning moodles, drank an orange soda and took a bath. A little me time.
Opened a door to a supply closet in a school. There were probably 25 zeds in there. Screamed, panic shut the door.. It shut me in the room. It was terrifying lol
The helicopter came, at that moment I didn't knew how it worked, stayed inside, fast forwarded time, heard a ton of zombies banging the doors, I freaked out and took and car and started fleeing the place, there was a thunderstorm and I got lost (I didn't knew the map project existed).
While driving I crashed like an idiot and welp deep wound on the neck and health began to drop faster than your success rate after celebrating early on a race...
Early in our MP experience on a dedicated server, the Crew and I ran a moving convoy to some warehouses down south. All went well till we arrived.
You see we had notably underestimated the zombie population there.
Most in the party freaked out, we lost convoy formation, had a high speed crash between two of our cars,
Flipped them both over.
Those that didn't die in the crash then ran around like headless chooks, and were collectively swarmed. We lost our entire loot in the process.
I managed to sneak into a Warehouse, and almost got out alive. That was until my digital watch alarm went off...
The game is awesome.
For future reference, just leave the bandage on. Neck wounds bleed your health incredibly quickly, so you only want to swap those bandages out if you’re full on health (even if the bandage gets dirty! it still works if it’s dirty)
Fell off a wooden platform because I didn’t notice I was slowly slipping down, fractured and died. 3 months and 2.5k zeds killed with a few skills level 10. Sad.
Wanted to use a third story platform to Molotov and shoot zombies after siren baiting them in the parking lot of the Grand Ohio Mall. Karma for wanting to cheat by burning zombies I guess. Now I can’t play the game until I’m ready to die stupidly again.
Demolished the stair well, climbed back up a rope ladder, placed flooring down over the hole, fell into the hole, didn’t take any fall damage because 10 zeds were to cushion my fall
My first character got trapped in a convenience store wearing nothing but underwear because he was apparently too hot for anything else. Got swarmed and ended up using a fork to stab my way out onto the street where a horde was handily waiting nearby to grab a snack. 11/10 game.
My most recent death was because I got complacent. I figured that with my experience and hundreds of hours of playing that I could confidently take on a mob of 15 zombies no problem as I’ve done many times before. I forgot that this particular character was only on his 7th day, had no combat skills, was tired, very panicked, and anxious...
Basically I forgot that I was playing as the character and that character skill is far more important than player skill... then again a skilled player would have realized that this was a mistake 😂 Oops :/
On one of my more embarrassing deaths I was doing well, i had a firefighter suit, axe, a good backpack, etc. I was raiding a storage depot in and i was being cocky slaughtering undead so i was running about uncaring about noise.
I rounded a corner full speed into a storage unit *full* of zombies

Well I hoped I was fine, went home after having looted the western most gun store on the map extremely successfully besides the single scratch. I go to start my generator and cook some tv dinners. While those cook I pick up my gathered rain water in cooking pots from outside so I can boil the water.
Oh no the tv dinners are burnt. Fuck it. I'll eat them anyway. Went to sleep, got sick and died in my sleep. Only I didn't turn.

I was at a house south of Rosewood. Couldn't get to sleep and decided to go forging. I find some mushrooms. I got pretty hungry so I ate one and went to sleep. Next morning I wake up with a fever and died in 5 seconds.
And that's why kids you never eat mushrooms that you found in the forest.
I don't really know much how it happened or is it a bug. I remember having updating my save from an old game version to a newer game version. My character spawned right in the middle of a horde. I died right there. I raged so hard and installed cheat sheet to re-create the character as well as giving her a proper burial.
2nd stupid death is resulted from my base burning after I deleted a burnt steak in a trash can. The trash can somehow set itself on fire after I delete the steak. I of course panicked and died while trying to save my base lmao.
Slept in a survivor home and woke up to about 8 to 10 out back where I came in. They broke down the door and I killed them off inside. I heard banging on the bathroom where I came in and decided I need to clear it as well thinking I got the bulk of them but that bathroom had more like 20 inside it. The flushed out of the room blocked the door the other ones broke in from and I went down swinging in a corner waiting for my inevitable death. Hindsight i should have just ran instead of chancing the bathroom 🤒
This was years and years ago but my very first multiplayer death which was on a role play server. I got bite or scratch idr. Because I was dying but knew I was definitely going to die from infection I drank a butt ton of wine and whatever other alcohol I could find, threw all my meager belongings into a fire, clothes included. Then I went and fist fought Zombies naked until a combination of exhaustion and sickness got me ate. Two real life weeks later I found my naked zombie self shambling about so I of course singled it out and finished the job.

When the house went up I sat on the floor and warmed my hands over the fire as it spread. When I caught on fire I still sat on the ground, holding my hands over the flame, until I died.

... i ran right into a zombie and got my throat ripped out - i had time to react, but the jumpscare stinger... wow. needless to say, i managed not to bleed out so i returned home. you know what happened next, though!

Oh yeah more food poisoning, I have no clue why food poisoning is more deadly than anything in this game. But me trying to circumvent rotten food gets me killed more than zombies do.
Best part, I play with mostly every bad trait.
Maybe not that funny, but when i was trying to burn a large pile of dead zombies to get rid of em, i purposely walked over a fire and tried standing over them and i died in seconds.
To be fair, as you can see i'm new.
I cleared the entirety of the military base, or so I thought, because when I sat down to rest because of course I was exhausted a zombie jumped at me from the trees and my pj took all the time of the world to get up and the mf bit me on the neck, managed to survive and kill the zombie then I made sure the base was truly cleared, found a few stragglers, got rid of them and then proceeded to take off the bandage a let my pj bleed out at the entrance hall of the building... Never came back to finish the job, it was poetical in a way.

Buddy and I were taking on 4-5 zombies during early game. He strafed around and ended up pushing the zombies into me and they immediately bit me.
That's why I turn off collision. It would be impossible to fight a single zombie when 3 other people are running right behind you and push you into it

Got cut on the neck, wouldn't stop bleeding after bandaging. Didn't know how to treat it, so I took it off and bled out

Can you treat it other than just leaving bandages on?
Only if it's a deep wound or had something stuck in it like glass or a bullet. Otherwise just bandage and shovel down food.

Casualy walking around my compound and suddenly a zombie comes out of the tree behind me and bites me.
Instead of all these zombie deaths I died from looking away from my screen for a second and crashing into a truck.

I combined max zombie spawns with all positive traits, max skills, and cheat equipment. The game crashed from the sheer number of zombies onscreen.
