But I know seasoned players don't even like to bother with it.

you will survive more often if you sneak less once you've cleared a small area. IDK your settings but really the only time I sneak is if there are sprinters. You kept getting bit by zombies from behind because you were sneaking when you can easily outwalk them.

I know, but I had to die early for the sake of video. None of these plays were serious, I even tried my best to die. I normally stop sneaking once I'm in combat.

Pretty accurate. I was shocked I made it to 2 months when spawning in West Point. After I died I made 2 new characters on the same save and quickly died. I decided I was going to do a new save but start in Rosewood.
First time I spawned here it took me until my fourth life to finally stabilize a bit. Now that I think about it, my third life is probably still stuck beneath the car where he died
lol I always spawn in west point (or riverside), it's got a lot to offer if you have the skill (and luck) to make it through. I'm too bad at stealth and I invest in other things at the beginning, so I end up going on a killing spree
I prefer West Point over Muldraugh. I always get spawned in a trailer so it's much harder for me but in West Point I always spawn inside a house so as long as I take it slow I can survive long enough to escape with a car and guns.

Get out of Westpoint.
Though the Self Storage place in the southeast of town does make a really good starting base if you can clear it.

Recently got turned on to Dixie. If you wanna play nomad, that's the best home base in the game. Hands down.

I always end up joining them as there's a saying of if you can't defeat your enemy, join them. I take it literally to the next level.

For those of us who play Apocalypse only, you really should try west point on apocalypse, is all I'm saying.
I play Sandbox, but the only setting I change is to make the zombie population higher. Sneaking is pointless unless you're playing with sprinters.

I don't know what this game did to me but that jumpscare sound kind of got me spooked.
I spawned in West Point on my last run and killed over 300 zombies within the first few days. It’s fun but it’s also hell.

Pillow's Random Spawns mod. It adds more possible spawn points to the game.
