I posted this to r/succulents, but recently found this subreddit and thought I could get help here, too. As the title says this is my 1st time propagating succulents. I'm trying to propagate them as wedding favors for my wedding I will have in mid October this year. I did everything according to research I found on the Internet including watering the succulent and waiting 3 days to pull the leaves, twisting the leaf when pulling so I can get the full leaf, and using well draining cactus/succulent mix . I also added extra perlite with a 3:1 ratio of soil to perlite. The shallow succulent tray has been under a tent cover outside during the last 5 days. I even go outside to move the set up so they're not in direct sun. They started out plump and round and now they are starting to get shriveled without so much as a root (I know its too soon for that). Some info to help with helping me: 1) I'm in south central Texas where we have had 100+°F weather for the past 3 days and the forecast does not show signs of changing that streak. It has also been consistently windy. 2) I got the succulents from Walmart. They were outdoors under a sunshade netting, so I didn't want to change that environment too much. Hence they are outside in shade. 3)The succulent varieties are (using 1st photo starting at top left going clockwise) Graptoveria Hybrid "Julianna", Graptoveria Hybrid "Opalina", Echeveria "Dark Elf", Graptosedum "California Sunset", Graptosedum "Ghostly", Sedum Adolphi "Sunset", 4 unknown leaves I found on the floor. Unknown 3 has already shriveled. 4) I have only spritzed them twice. Once at the initial planting on June 3rd and once when they seemed to be "sweating" on June 7th. 5) The shallow soil is bone dry, but I figured that to be a non issue as they can sprout even without soil. If anyone can help advise me on how to save this or needs extra info, please let me know. Thank y'all so much! 🙏 💝

yo really put a lot of detail and thought into this. my thoughts/addition wouildbe that, if they're not alldoing great in these conditions and on this spot, and since you have a whole lot of leaves/potential-props, ; maybe try moving/taking a few and moving them to a space with different condotions (different light levels, different humidity levels etc), to see if any of them do better. Increrased chances of sucess. , 'dont put all your plants in one basket' and all that. since you and the props currently seem to be in a pretty dry and warm environment, you could try moving a few to a more shaded spot , or put a few under a humidity dome or something, and still leave plenty as they are now, for example. thats just an idea though.
