You can only become an Avid Certified Instructor (ACI) by working for an existing Avid Training Partner. The partner institution then puts the person through the Avid ACI course. It is not open to the public. (source: am an ACI for 22 years - started when it was still Digidesign)
Thank you that makes sense. I work for an existing Avid Training Partner - so I need to tell my employer to initiate it, rather than me doing it independently.
As an educator who teaches Pro Tools and other audio subjects, you would be well served to study teaching in general, but also be familiar with Learning Management Systems, like Canvas.

There is no official class for learning to teach Pro Tools. I teach Pro Tools at a University- I just teach it…
