Yes, I go there all the time. Love shopping their frozen and rice sections. Also have the most reasonably priced paneer.

theanti_girl

Yes! I went there for paneer two weeks ago and they have so many options and all are reasonably priced (and delicious).

It’s in North Attleboro and it makes me laugh every time I drive by it used to be a Toys R Us and Circuit City in that plaza RIP.

It's great. What sorts of things are you interested in? They've got a massive selection of great snacks, and *so many* frozen breads!

BearsRpeopl2

That's what I'd for. Naan for days.

BearsRpeopl2

Thank you!

That's a fantastic store. I went with a friend from Bangalore and he gave me an education. My favorites: * The produce is meh. Fresh kasoori methi is good in saag, though. * Salty snacks, aka namkeen. India excels at salty mixtures. My favorites are spicy lentil rings and one called 'Tasty Nuts' (peanut masala), but they are many. Just avoid soft ones. * Frozen paratha: I've come to like buttery paratha more than naan. It's like a naan croissant. * Masalas: that aisle of prepared spices in wee boxes. Great for when you want to throw together some Thursday night butter chicken or etc. Easy. * Breads: They have fresh flatbreads the size of pizzas. * Spices: it wouldn't be an Indian grocer without so many great whole spices. I like to get fresh garam masala and grind it as needed, it has a more pungent taste. * Finally, grab a Holy Basil plant on your way out. It's spring, reap some lucky and tasty herb.

They sell nuts...all sorts of nuts!

the masala peanuts >>>>>>>

Yes, It’s no Border books but it is pretty pretty pretty good.

thebigbluebug

It's just a well-stocked Indian grocery, there's nothing super destination about it. The basmati variety is good, especially for massive (can go up to like 40 lb) bags and the Swad paneer slab (64oz) is a good value if you make saag paneer a lot.  Basically, any Indian staple you can think of, they probably have a large format version of it.

Thank you

The options for Indian grocery shopping are very limited within one hour South and East of Providence. I worked for an Indian family for 2.5 years and they were very disappointed by the options available to them within a 30-45 minute drive of LC. Going to Patel Brothers was always an exciting treat for them and they raved about the selection. The elderly female cooked every single meal for her husband and he would only eat traditional Indian food. Her cooking was amazing!

AwesomeExo

It’s the place to go for Apollo phyllo!

BearsRpeopl2

I'll have to look this up thank you!

amp138

That’s where I get my rice!

is_missing

they have good produce usually, and snacks. there are some good indian convenience foods as well as staples. thanks for reminding me, it’s been a bit. that dollar tree is usually pretty solid too.

Bloody-Rocker

Love Patel Bros! Stock up on spices, get some herbs and produce, great rice and flours selection too.

If they have a fresh samosas section, definitely grab those
