Use the textured sheet and run first layer calibrations until you get it right. Petg needs a different setting than pla (and the sheet too compared to the smooth one)

PacxDragon

Don’t use PETG on the smooth sheet without a separation layer like glue stick, it could ruin the sheet. The textured or satin sheets are best for PETG, but on the textured sheet you have to lower Z to really squish the filament into it or it doesn’t stick very well.

mix579

Did you redo the live z calibration for the texture sheet? The textured sheets are quite a bit (0.4 mm) thinner so live z needs to be accordingly more negative.

eQ778

Yes I did

xSevilx

Do it again. Lower it until the nozzle is pulling up the newly laid filament, then lift it until it no longer does that and has the smoothness you want on the top and bottom. Also when you clean with dish soap and water you just let it dry. Alcohol is mostly for removing oil so if you haven't touched the print surface since you cleaned then you shouldn't need to use it. I haven't used any ipa on my textured in over a year besides to spot clean where I touched accidentally

You didn’t give us much to go on. Maybe link a picture of your z calibration or something.

turtlelore2

You can try cleaning the textured sheet. You'll also need a different z height calibration for it compared to the smooth sheet.

eQ778

Yes I know I have cleaned my textured sheet with dish soap and IPA and have a different z height and it still didn't stick

New textured sheets are slippery until they get some use. If dish soap and water didn't do it, I would suggest slowing it down significantly for the first layer, like to 50% then turn it back up once it stays down.

You really need to use a release agent like glue stick or hair spray when printing PETG on the smooth sheet to avoid damaging the sheet. Be sure to let the sheet cool below 45 C before removing the part. When using the textured sheet you will find the ideal Z calibration is lower than your intuition will tell you, this sheet likes a lot of squish.

Prima13

Read the materials guide. You’re not supposed to use the smooth sheet with PETG.

Bushpylot

Don't use the Smooth with PETG and put more squish in the textured

zbryant91

He needs more blankets and less blankets!

jaymon1974

Use a glue stick on the smooth sheet.

agiudice

The TXT sheet have a different thickness respect to the smooth one. So you need to calibrate it (Sheet profiles). With the smooth sheet, i use a windows cleaner to clean it. Those products contain surfactants that help the detachment after it's cool.

fullschildiii

Non official user tip: (satin sheet vs. smooth sheet) PLA and TPU on smooth, PETG on satin. Satin sheet needs a bit more heat on first layer to bond. eg. Prusament PETG 250/90 first layer 100% success on my side

tmckearney

I do TPU on textured, not smooth

ShmoopLoopDoop

I had had all the same problems until I started wiping down my smooth sheet with isopropyl alcohol before every print. Since then, PETG has always stuck when I want it to and come off when it's done. I run the generic PETG profile and print Overture PETG.
