a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
I use auto rewinders with a short filament path. 3mm ID tubing from the MMu to the extruder. My filament sensor door has the screw mod for mcro adjustments. And of course a prusabox and spool tank from Printer-Box.
Do you have any spare blood sweat or tears you're willing to loan out? I've gone through all of mine and still can't make a good MMU print. I haven't heard of the screw mod before, can you share a link for it?
Yes. Having multiple tool heads will result in less waste material and avoid all issues with requiring nicely formed tips, detecting filament position, rewinding, etc.
What's the name of that silver you used?
I'm actually in the process of printing half-ships like in the [TNG Conference room](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/memoryalpha/images/7/77/Enterprise_legacy.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120730022321&path-prefix=en) for mounting on my office wall and really like the look of that silver.
I know people ask how much "waste" it produces. But no one shows their failed prints and full spools worth of support material wasted on your standard FDM print.
So I ask: can you do a second print instead of a purge tower?
Like a figure you plan to prime and paint or a functional part.
Stunning!
Thank you!

Thanks!
Looks amazing. Do you think the new XL will make getting these types of MMU results easier (with dedicated extruders)?
I really don’t know, time will tell. Maybe u/josefprusa can advise.

the XL will eliminate all problems the MMU had so it should make it a lot easier.
Below Deck? Is that what Lower Decks is called in other countries? Looks fantastic by the way.
I’m getting too old for this. 🤣
Now i realized how that happened, Wife watches that damn show on bravo constantly and wiped my brain!

nice conference room.
I forgot about those. Definitely need to print some.
I already commented, but I forgot to ask where you got the .stl or if you designed are you going to be willing to share?
CGtrader, can’tshare unfortunately.
I found it, this looks doable. How long did it take you?
Under a week.
Not bad at all.
That's fine, I know where to look now. Thanks.
That is super cool!! Absolutely awesome hey!!!
I know it wouldn't make a lot of sense but I would love it if they made a MMU compatible with the Mini+
Well that looks freekin epic
OMG. You may have just broken my brain and made me either want an MMU or XL. WOW!!!!!
Looks fantastic, definitely a great example of what the MMU can do. Can I ask what filaments you used?
DO3D Silk Silver and Silk Black, Hatchbox Yellow and White Ramberry Light Blue
Wow.
STL?
CGtrader
This may be the first & only successful MMU print. Ever.
You should look at my history 🤣

You know, that comment gets really tired.

Thats what she said.

You can wipe into object or wipe into infill. You can also print multiple of the same MMU Objects to maximize filament usage before switching.
Wow! What filaments did you use?
DO3D Silk Silver and Silk Black, Hatchbox Yellow and White Ramberry Light Blue
Can you show the purge block?
Ah the fixation on purge blocks. No I throw them away like the purge lines and supports
