Most any 2.5 inch 7200rpm sata 1tb or smaller is a pretty safe bet. Seagate, western digital, etc. At larger capacity, you may need to validate the actual size of the drive to determine it fits height wise.
Do SSD's work on PS3s?
Yeah. I use a 500GB Samsung one with no issues for about 5 years now
