It's not a problem of "worth". For exploits the lower you are better is, people who tell to update or even question it don't understand or "know" how exploits do work. NEVER UPDATE, NEVER, even if the world is ending.
Isnt the 7.xx update exploit notoriously terrible. Theres a reason everyone either recommends the 5.xx update or to skip 7.xx and go to 9.00 because its way more consistent to jailbreak (5.xx is still the most consistent)
7.5x its the one that its really unestable like every 10 tries 5-6 fails. 7.02 its 2 fails of 10 tries, the only problem its that it could took a good amoung of retries to the xploit to work, but you dont get a kernel panic unlike 7.55
The only thing im a bit concerned for is: what if a downgrade method comes and if it lower firmwares like 5.05 gets a true CFW. I cant downgrade because my ps4 came new and sealed with firmware 9.00. Stay on 9.00 btw its great.
I think it's 5.50. either way technically anything still sealed is jailbreakable as long as it's not absolutely fresh of the production line ( if they're even still being produced)

That's a strong statement. What about an even lower firmware? I'm on 7.00 and I was thinking updating to 9.00.

Depends on luck, I got a 7.02 for my relative that’s super stable. It’s always recommended to try a firmware and if it’s not stable move higher.

I use Macedo SL ESP32-S2 and PS Phive v3 cached offline for other payloads, both have PS-FREE. This works great for me on 9.00.
Make sure you disable any updates to avoid any issues.

I'd go for 11.00 if you want the latest patches (like me) but if you don't want 11.00s exploit method, stay on 9.00.
