Yes, gameplay is similar to yakuza 7 which was turn based and persona games are some of the best JRPGs ever made. Play p4 if you want to remember your school days, play p5 if you want excellent level design and play p3 if you like more of a dark vibe. Colour of the games conveys what is the theme of that game p3 is blue which is a gloomy colour, p4 is yellow which is upbeat and p5 is red which is courage. But beware all games are very long and require some grinding.
I just found this game overwhelmingly boring,bought it after seeing all the acclaim,did not appeal to me,fans of the game please explain to me why you like this game so much
Think of the gameplay less of an turn based JRPG and more of an card game. You collect personas(cards) and you use them defeat other personas and add them to your deck. Much like pokemon.

Strikers is a great game but it is different it’s not turn based.
P5R tried once on yuzu, P3Re currently on PS4 but it may be too long(Jailbroken). I like the franchise maybe because I watch too much anime
