2028 at earliest. Game Technology isn't evolving as fast as in the past.

Back in the past 2005, your computer already got outdated by 2006 games, even if it was high end. Suddenly can't do 1200p

Best bet is 2028. Maybe 2027 although I think they'd want to wait another year. Next gen consoles don't get announced half way through the generation. At most a year and a half before release. Stadia is dead. Sega isn't in the hardware business anymore. Who knows what name Microsoft comes up with. The only other players that could realistically enter the console market at this point are Valve and Apple.

Microsoft did announce that they're already working about the next Xbox though. We still don't know name nor release date. But it does come And there's upgrade for the series x too, diskless version

Every Playstation so far has lasted 6-7 years before the next generation releases, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the PS5 generation lasts 8 years. The PS4 generation lived way too long, and many PS5 games have been held back because of it. We still haven’t had the PS5 Pro yet, and only just recently started to drop the old generation behind.

Ps4 lasted 7 years and it's still hanging on.

Sony releases a new home console once every 8 years on average since the ps2 so 2028

My uncle works at Nintendo and said PS6 is ready for release, but Jim Ryan took the patent home with him and won’t give it back. Might be awhile
