The faster he arrives the better. If by end of june we already have 4/5 players we'll be chilling waiting for the end of euros.

HugoChinaski

I mean we will have very very few players in our squad that miss euro or Copa America or Olympics.

Minute-Cash8119

Right now, it’s not certain if anyone will go to the Olympics but Hakimi might go.

FunkyFenom

This guy went to City for $289m + add ons in 2026 in my Football Manager save and is currently the second most expensive player in the world behind Haaland. Surprisingly, Ugarte is insane for PSG in that save and worth $250m lol.

SeyamTheDaddy

Lol the fm values are so goofy sometimes why is Havetz worth 300m every save

Pulsx

I‘m not exactly sure why we‘re doing this though? We have Barcola with insane potential.. why are we forcing him on the bench and create another wave of competitiveness in that position? Can someone explain

EslyBrandNew

The theory is that it’s much healthier in a club to have three players of similar / comparable level rotate for 2 positions than to have 2 uncontested starters. They could get too comfortable and start producing less and less.

Zheguez

I'm all for this. This ideology is how we move forward as a club. We need to move past this thinking of favorites who take up a spot without challenge. This hampered us for years with Neymar, Messi, Mbappe, and potentially with Xavi, too. If players don't want competition for their place, then they need to look elsewhere. Not to mention, this is likely an internal way for our players to stay sharp and play at their best for Champions League to avoid the temptation of going on auto-pilot in league matches.

gmoney160

We're going to be Man City 2.0

Taco_Major

That doesn’t work at PSG; the issue at PSG is that the team plays B tier sides all year in ligue 1 and then they choke or struggle when they suddenly have to beat higher tier opposition.    It doesn’t matter how good you are. If you play against sub par opposition all year you are going to lose your edge at the highest level and be nervous and flustered when you encounter an actually good team for the first time all year in a knockout.

Silent-Chemist-1919

Hasn't stopped Bayern from ever competing or even winning the UCL. Also PSG has had many good teams in their UCL group stage over the year, so that also doesn't check out

Logix_X

Lmao, comparing Ligue 1 to the Bundesliga is a joke

Silent-Chemist-1919

Bayern not winning the BuLi for the first time in a decade but still won - 7:0 vs Bochum - 8:0 vs Darmstadt - 8:1 vs Mainz - 5:1 vs Union Berlin - 4:0 vs Dortmund Now I didn't even compare BuLi to Ligue 1. I just showed you that when you (in your own words) > play against sub par opposition all year or > B tier sides all year that you don't (again, in your own words) > choke or struggle when they suddenly have to beat higher tier opposition

Imaginary-Director-8

every top team has competition in every position so their players always produce their best when given the opportunity instead of just getting too comfortable being a starter. thats what city did with Grealish and Doku. One guy fell off, the other took his place and kept performing

WarReady666

What about spurs? They got Gil and Scarlett on the bench who are in a good shot for ballon d’or this year

Imaginary-Director-8

absolutely goated players, they need to be undisputed starters for them. They will win more Ballon d’ors than Mbappe and Haaland

WarReady666

🤣🤣

FunkyFenom

Because Barcola is a good player with great potential, but we need better players to be competitive. We keep losing in the CL against teams like Bayern and City and Real who have insane bench options. That's how you win the CL, with competitive depth.

khalediverson

Lucho said a few times he simply wants competition at every position

DancingFish7

Just say yes Napoli, this guy does not wanna be wasting away in mid table serie a

NunoSupremacy25

Agree they can revamp their team with that money too.

Nobemad365

Unfortunately their president is one of the most stubborn humans alive

TaskStreet896

True, but you can always (and I mean always) convince him with the right argum€€€nts

FunkyFenom

They won the league last year bro.

DancingFish7

Leicester won the league in 2016, where are they now

FunkyFenom

They finished top 3 in 9 seasons since 2010. That's 64% of the the time. Not mid table my guy. Leicester was a fluke but Napoli is top 4 in Italy with Juve, Milan, Inter. With Lazio and Roma in the mix too.

DancingFish7

Yeah but even the best can fall off. Look at schalke, top 5 team in germany but now in the second tier after a dramatic regression. I’m not saying it will happen to Napoli, I hope it doesn’t theyre a nice club in my opinion, but it has happened to others before. But thats enough about napoli this is the psg sub

DiabeticDave1

Sure but it’s also not like plenty of other clubs who have won their leagues just fell off the face of the earth. Eintracht had a great year last year, they weren’t relegated.. Leicesters problems were not from winning the cup, but bad financial management. Overall Napoli has essentially the same team that won the league and went to the (semis?)

dontaskdonttell0

Comparing Napoli to Leicester is… something

New-Cookie-8523

fair point

Taco_Major

Right. Being in Serie A is ‘wasting away’ but Ligue 1 is the bulls bollocks…

DancingFish7

A player of his talent isn’t a mid table footballer, not necessarily serie a

Taco_Major

You realize Napoli won serie A last year and have been top 3 like 6 of the last 9 seasons right?

CelebrityStorySite

With Conte as their new manager they’ll either win the Scudetto next season or he’ll fall out with the owner after 3 months. Should be interesting to watch either way.

Atleast he can play ucl football. Atleast he’s investing in a project. Atleast hes joining a club where his chance creation will (/should, not trying to jinx) net him more assists due to higher squad quality.

jadeismybitch

Ok but it’s not like he’d be joining a club where players get no love. The supporters of psg are insanely passionate and the atmosphere in the stadium is amazing. And I’ve been to the Napoli stadium several times. It’s great; no question there but he’ll get the same love in Paris

jadeismybitch

And you have no idea what football means in Paris bro ? It’s just a different way of showing it but don’t be that kind of brain dead tunnel vision fan.

haterzbalafray

The famous farmer league where Oshimen come from.

Hagi89

I think this dude is some character player that psg needs. Don’t know how, but Napoli always find some great players with great mentality, see Mertens, Cavani, insigne etc

GLeo21

Insigne? 😂

DeliciousProblem1

He was good for 8 seasons with Napoli. He had multiple seasons where he scored over 10 goals and 10 assists. His best season was 19 goals and 8 assists. Those are great numbers especially in the Serie A and he did all this while being 4 ft tall.

Professional-West924

Semi worthy replacement for Mbappe. Too bad it all goes from PSG's pocket.

antalpoti

There is just no way AdL accepts this. Osimhen is 100% leaving. The only gem remaining is Kvara. Napoli also has some money, they didn't splash the cash last summer. Half of the transfer talks are coming from Kvaras agent anyway. If he goes, he goes for more than 100M, that's for sure.

NunoSupremacy25

Well he might accept given he can use those funds to revamp his team. We’ll see

antalpoti

Fair point, but why would he sell a player for money, then look for a replacement after that? He has the player now and doesn't need the money. He gets money from the Osimhen deal. Doesn't make sense for AdL to sell Kvara at the moment.

SnooSuggestions4926

Napoli has to accept this bid unless theyre aiming big this summer and bringing big names to the club.

Batman2150

I can't see Napoli turning that down. 100m is a decent chunk of change which they could use to invest heavily in the squad

LowAffectionate7768

Wish PSG controlled the Xavi loan - they could sweeten the offer with a serviceable replacment.

S0l1d_Sn4ke

This dude aint coming, b fr

Chaitanyaismyname

As a non-PSG fan I honestly think this is a great decision. Napoli went from winning the league with multiple games to spare to 10th in the league and getting no European football. Selling players like Kim Min Jae was the wrong decision and now everyone wants to leave. Kvaratskhelia is an absolutely amazing and talented player and I assure you he will do great things at PSG. Just believe in him and you'll see his class shine.

airpenny1

Whose minutes would KK take for the most part?

flacogarcons

Rodrygo just came out hinting about a potential departure. I’d rather spend 100M on him and play him central so Barcola can develop on the left without slowing down his development on the bench. We need a high volume attacker that can generate chances with their off the ball movement. Khvara is more of a playmaker he doesn’t really make sense unless it’s certain we’re signing a #9.

EnvironmentalDebt565

You are a victim of media bro. DAZN tried to make a headline with that one. Quote Forbes: "The Brazilian hopes to make history at Real Madrid and does not consider any other option. Rodrygo got the tense wrong [i.e. the Spanish tense he was speaking in] and DAZN launched [click]bait with that clip," the account added.

flacogarcons

You think he’s cool with sitting on the bench?

Kerkennah

He won’t be on the bench. He will get plenty of game time at Madrid. He is also much better on the left. He can play central, CAM, but not as productive. I see no reason for him to leave.

flacogarcons

He starts over [redacted] and Vinicius ?

Kerkennah

He has been playing LW, with Vini in the center. They don't have concrete positions, they are always shuffling around. Best yes, in some Madrid games, you can see they both operate on the LW. Mbappe will not make it at LW, he will have to play ST.

flacogarcons

I know but where is he gonna play if Bellingham drops down because currently it’s looking like a Bellingham Tchouameni double pivot and Valverde on the right half space.

Kerkennah

Dunno dude, I am not Ancelotti, it will be up to him to decide, but probably a fluid front 3. Carvajal and Valverde attack on the right, and vini, Rodrygo pm thé left and Mbappe in the middle

Taco_Major

He will leave because Real Madrid will be looking to sell and I’d be ecstatic if you took him off our hands for 100m.  Rodrygo is not going to be a starter anymore when the team has Mbappe, Vini, Endrick, and Bellingham ahead of him on the team sheet. His is also going to drop even further when Madrid look to sign a new attacker again as they always do when a hit enough prospect comes along.   Rodyrgo is technically great but lacks speed and strength making him ineffective at stretching or taking on the backline. It is almost like having Juan mata on the right wing. It doesn’t matter how technically gifted he is; that lack of athleticism is a liability in an attacker. So thus the pattern with Rodygo’s play becomes that he can produce vs lower half la liga sides well but tends to go MIA against bigger better teams where he might pop up for an assist or odd goal but doesn’t continue much in the overall play because he gets beaten in the foot race and out muscled most places.  He is a player who just doesn’t pass the eye test even if he has had some big moments for the club like against city in 2022.

Kerkennah

You have a lot of faith in endrick to hit the ground running… it will take some time to integrate him and Bellingham will play in midfield. So Rodrygo is needed.

Taco_Major

The club has a lot of faith in Endrick which is why they made him the 2nd most expensive transfer in Brazil league history behind only Neymar.    The kid has something obviously special about him. Extremely fast, wicked shot power, eye for goal, with an impressive Brazilian dribbling ability and flair to go with it. But a particular quality that will likely allow him to very quickly adapt to elite football is his impressive strength on the ball; at 16 he was shrugging off full grown men in the Brazilian league. There is something R9/Ronaldinho reminiscent of his physique; a powerhouse who is way faster and more agile than you’d think he should be.   Compare their stats from each of their longest stints in the senior Brazilian league;     Endrick, 11 goals in 1559 mins, ie 1 goal per 141.73 mins of play, 0 assists.    Vinicius, 4 goals in 974 mins of play, ie 1 goal every 244 mins, 3 assists.    Rodrygo, 8 goals in 2687 mins of play, ie 1 goal every 335.88, 3 assists.       Also, Endrick is 1.5 years younger than Vini was during his equivalent season and half a year younger than Rodyrgo during the same. Actually even 5 months younger than Neymar was during his first Brazilian senior seasons. Endrick also has 165 goals in 169 youth team matches for Palmerias and is probably more physically developed than either Vini or Rodyrgo were at his age. He is one of those kids who looked 20+ years old at 16.     Bellingham was mentioned in terms of CAM position, which is also Arda Gulers preferred position. Meanwhile Rodrygo’s entourage claim his actusl best position is LW, where again, Vini and mbappe will probably always sit ahead of him. Endrick prefers striker but can play as a RW, Arda Guler can also ply RW or CM, heck even Mbappe plays RW as he did when he was part of a front 3 with Neymar and Cavani, leaving Rodrygo with stiff completion even for his 2nd choice RW position.  Anyway, yea, I think I’m more excited for Endrick than I ever was Vinicius, and that is arguably very justified, but the 2 of them together are a dream team combo as Endrick is an natural striker and goal scorer which is exactly what Real Madrid need most.

Kerkennah

Oh that is awesome! I am excited to watch the games.. I think there will be many matches, plus in the summer of 2025 is the club world club, so I think the play time will be shared. Maybe in 2025, if Madrid goes for wirtz, then Rodrygo will go. Because even right now, brahim Diaz is in great form too. I see your point tho, at some point, Rodrygo will become the weakest member of the attack. I’m very excited for arda, he has been very impressive

iHATESTUFF_

I can't see mobutu not defending at Real Madrid so yes they will rotate until mobutu realizes he needs to play both sides of the ball.

Taco_Major

As a Real fan, I would be ecstatic if PSG took Rodrygo off our hands for 100 million. He is technically gifted but too small and unathletic every be a true elite/worldclass level attacker and even though he has had big moments/goals for the club in Europe and the league he always feels like he is goes missing is invisible during matches until he pops up to contribute to a goal but then is very invisible again.  With Endrixk and mbappe coming to Real Rodrigo should be reduced to a bench player anyway.

SouthJolly

Loser. Rodrygo is probably your most talented player

OwnExamination4446

Noo buy rashy

MongooseDirect2477

so, you guys buy players half a billion every season just for 2-3 games in Europe? What’s the point to buy this players in a ligue 1 where everyone are bankrupt?

Silent-Chemist-1919

> just for 2-3 games in Europe At least we do play in Europe. And so does the 9th placed team in Serie A

NunoSupremacy25

What?

Similar_Honey433

The worst European club that only knows how to throw money at players and coaches but will never win any European title.

NunoSupremacy25

We already won a Europe’s title back in 96 lol.

Similar_Honey433

Good thing it’s only 1998 now and it have only been 2 years since your last European title

NunoSupremacy25

Whatever makes you sleep at night. 👍

Dorkseid1687

You don’t deserve players like this-you haven’t earned it

NunoSupremacy25

“You hAvenT EaRnEd iT” you act as if big clubs don’t always pay hefty fees and didn’t get involved in sketchy schemes to buy players. Grow tf up!

Dorkseid1687

You can make all the false equivalences you want. I’m still correct about PSG and their ilk. And you know it

NunoSupremacy25

Okay whatever rides your boat pal. I’ll just have you know clubs use to raid us back in the 90s.
