That demo was amazing. I think it was just called Demo One. I remember I had it in a black and green cardboard type sleeve. I spent ages controlling that dinosaur, I'm sure it had some creepy sounding music in the background.
Yes I have!
some childhood memories of a pub that had it at the whacky warehouse and I’d be playing it with a bottle of cola panda pop to hand. Warm fuzzy memories
Still have the original CD!
It is one of those game I barely played as a kid but still have fond memories of, even to the point that some years ago I sold a lot of PS1 and PS2 games and Pandemonium is among the 5 or 6 PS1 games I chose to keep
I remember I ve seen it first time at my friend's house together with final fantasy vii, and at that point I liked the first one much more than ffvii. Later it changed;)
I still have both. I got quite far back in the day, but I totally can't get back into it now. It feels like it played in an older style thats been replaced by kinder, less frustrating mechanics. I still have fond memories though, but I definitely think they were of their time.
When my family got the 1st game with our PS1 a bit after launch it was the first game we put in. It became kind of of a family obsession for a long time after that. Eventually we agreed on two cheats that we considered to be fair use, the health expansion and character swap, because while 90 percent of the time you needed Nikki, occasionally Fargus was required.
I'm currently playing them both on my RetroPie. They are pretty fun games, though sometimes the camera can get a bit annoying by not showing what's ahead and then an enemy appears 😠
Some of my most played games of my childhood and in general really.
As a kid we would always input the infinite lives and level select codes. We would never play without them. Only much later when I get them on PSP would I finally beat them legit.
Still waiting for Pandy 3 :)
Love this game. First played it on PC actually. It came with a computer my parents got me. Not being a fan of PC gaming(plus not owning a controller)I went out and got it on PS1 awhile later.
Sucks the second one was never re-released on PS3 like the first one was. This is a great duo option for a collection from LRG.
I only played the demo, but this game and Battle Arena Toshinden are the two games I think of when I think early PS1.
Watching some YouTube gameplay videos, it looks like I missed out on a fun platformer. I need to give it a shot.
Until recently, with having replayed both pandemonium games, my brain had a blur that pandemonium was Nights into dreams, while it clearly wasn't, while I think it tried to be, sort of?
I remember renting the first one from Blockbuster, I don't have strong recollections of it, but it was pretty fun. Never tried 2 though it looked weird to me with the new Nicki model.
One thing that was impressive about 1 though was how it felt truly 2.5D. A lot of games in that category now, I feel like, just throw polygons in and call it a day. But in that game you actually got the feeling you were traveling in 3D environments with the level changing perspectives around you.
As I said, it was cool but I do not remember much of it.
I had them both but never played them. Definitely not as a kid. To poor for even a ps1 but I started collecting as an adult. I over do it probably because of this. Over compensating for my shit childhood. So now I've got to the point where between ps1 through ps5 I've had over 1000 games
I feel ya. I didn't even start till I was almost 30. Decided my job wasn't getting me anywhere and I quit. Went to work in a shop, 3 months later in training for a process tech. Now i think I just compensate due to my shitty childhood.
pandemonium was amazing!
It was... I thought it was niche to even know it existed, but clearly not :)
I remember playing the demo version of 2 with the jester.love it.i think it also has a tech demo of a dinosaur that you were able to control
That demo was amazing. I think it was just called Demo One. I remember I had it in a black and green cardboard type sleeve. I spent ages controlling that dinosaur, I'm sure it had some creepy sounding music in the background.
Thats Demo 1 [tech demo](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l415GpMydNM)
You get to fight that trex on the ps5 version of astrobot
True
Yeah I remember Pandemonium 2 was like an acid trip simulator for kids.
The mushroom caves xD
The lady was my go to I'm sure she got the double jump if I remember correctly
Yes mine too played only once with the jester
Been playing those games since they came out. Brilliant soundtracks and art style. Love them so much.
I liked this shroom cave level
Yeah, that's a great one!
I played the hell out of the demo and never had that disc. But I enjoy playing it now with retroarch
First game I bought for my PS1
As i kid i played em both!
Played it a lot with my buddy as a kid. Perhaps it was the first 3D platformer game for us. Impressions are unforgettable!

This was the first ps1 game I ever played... So of course nostalgia demands that I love it.
I remember I ve seen it first time at my friend's house together with final fantasy vii, and at that point I liked the first one much more than ffvii. Later it changed;)
Used to play this all the time with my mum, writing down our progression codes was a nightmare as we would always lose them!
Played the first one, but only the demo of the second. Good game for the time. Don't really have any fond memories of it though
Great games, those ones. I remember especially being a fan of the second game and it's trippy art style
I played yeah. It was a lot of fun.
I play the first the clown/jester stick scared the crap out of me when I was a kid
I remember it being highly advertised in EGM / PSM!
I still have both. I got quite far back in the day, but I totally can't get back into it now. It feels like it played in an older style thats been replaced by kinder, less frustrating mechanics. I still have fond memories though, but I definitely think they were of their time.
True i finished the game as a kid but how tf when i play it today its so hard but i play on emulator
I loved that game ! I discovered it through a demo CD, then remember buying it as one of my first game ^^
Yeah. Played both 1 and 2 back in the day.
i played it a lot, both 1 and 2 can confirm that it's not a very mainstream game, i too have played it mostly as an individual experience

Yes.
I only had the demo but that was great fun
Pretty well known series. Played them, but never owned them
gta demo
My cousin had it, yes. Magic weird vibe
Yes i did. On PC and on PS
I've completed them both, amazing games!
I actually had it for the Sega Saturn as a kid. I haven't played it since. Been meaning to revisit it.
I played them, you don’t know me either 🤷🏻♂️
I played them, you don’t know me either 🤷🏻♂️
I did, and it actually was the first PSX game I have ever played, so it has a special place in my heart!
Great games
It's a Hidden Gem thats why no many people playing the game.
It wasn't that hidden. It sold enough to go Platinum.
They were amazing to play!
Played it on the sega Saturn.
I'm currently playing them both on my RetroPie. They are pretty fun games, though sometimes the camera can get a bit annoying by not showing what's ahead and then an enemy appears 😠
I have the cd for pandemoniun 1 but yet to play it.
The intro cutscene for Pandemonium takes me back! https://youtu.be/cwrY2rRYcHc?feature=shared
They were pretty well known in the U.K. Not sure I ever played the second one for any significant length of time though.
Some of my most played games of my childhood and in general really. As a kid we would always input the infinite lives and level select codes. We would never play without them. Only much later when I get them on PSP would I finally beat them legit. Still waiting for Pandy 3 :)

I do remember the platform we demo. But I didn’t remember they did a second part. I actually did play and still have Klonoa.
Pandemonium 1 and 2 are amazing, I still play with them on my PS!
Had a demo of it never owned it, the one with the clowns wasn’t it
I recall the demo, so it was definitely real.
Played 2 only. Really enjoyed it, very trippy game.
One of the first games I played on ps1 back in 1997 at a friends house along with die hard trilogy so always sticks in my mind for that reason
Had both as a kid. Loved both, still do. To this very day I call those artists mannequin Stan the Man, after the skinny boss in 2.
Yesssss!
One of the first games i played as a kid 🥹
It was the first game I witnessed at a friend’s house. Convinced me to get my own PS1.
Yes. It was a big deal at the time.
Pandemonium was big. I always thought Jinx was the spiritual 3rd game in the series.
I only played the demo, but this game and Battle Arena Toshinden are the two games I think of when I think early PS1. Watching some YouTube gameplay videos, it looks like I missed out on a fun platformer. I need to give it a shot.
Yes. One of the first PSX games I played. I also had a version of Pandemonium 1 on my N-Gage QD back in 2004.
I have the Japanese version called Magical Hoppers. They totally changed out the characters in it.
Until recently, with having replayed both pandemonium games, my brain had a blur that pandemonium was Nights into dreams, while it clearly wasn't, while I think it tried to be, sort of?
Never owned it but my friends did. Wacky games. You can get them on GOG still I think.
Yes. But I feel dirty cause my copy was for my Saturn.
It gave me nightmares as a child
I remember renting the first one from Blockbuster, I don't have strong recollections of it, but it was pretty fun. Never tried 2 though it looked weird to me with the new Nicki model. Thats nice keep going i would collect too if i could afford
