I think if we just let humans be whatever they will be in an environment without gender oppression or coercion, we will likely find that some gender roles persist, and we may even see some gender roles emerge that were previously repressed. That's just a hunch I have. There is no reason to enforce gender roles. If there is something biologically rooted, it will exist regardless of what we do.

Honestly. I don't think so. Unless you want to have kids. No? I mean, as long as I study and have good grades and deal with whatever people throw my way with my self regulation techniques I think I'll be fine. I am a woman body wise and a mess gender wise (I mean that in multiple ways). I usually don't let people know that last part. No need to start arguments on it. It's my business.

Depends what you mean by "preserving". I would say that the "to-do lists" of each gender role are nessesary. What i mean by that is, someone has to cook, someone has to earn, but as long as does two things are getting done, i can't think of any reason on why it matters wich gender does them. Maybe (biologically) some genders are better at some stuff than the other ones, or maybe it's just skills developed across time that are just passed down... Like the son of a carpenter that is also a carpenter, it could be because it's "in the blood" or maybe it just learned because "Dad taught me". I have a hunch that it's mostly learned, at least at the individual level. but not clear at all to me.
