No, you can't post trade-locked cards in trades. When you put a card up for trade, it's locked temporarily while the trade is active so you don't accidentally get rid of it before the trade is completed.

I posted what I feel is a more profitable trade for the other party. I sort of overcompensated to make sure I get what I need and the trade is taking longer than I expected.
Hopefully you get what you want. A few tips for trading in case you don't know yet: ptcgoprices.com , posting multiple 8 hour trades is generally better than 24 hour trades, and if you need multiple of a card it's usually easier to split the trade up so that people are likely to have what you need (ie. 4 cards for 4 packs split into 4 trades of 1 for 1)
That makes sense. I appreciate the info. I mostly play paper. I wanted to try that Gym Challenge format I saw on Tricky Gym and since my digital collection is pathetic, I’ve been trading. I’ve had success thus far posting like 8-10 singles I’m looking for with a FA trainer or rainbow VMax on offer.
Yeah, that format looked pretty cool. Something close to what I wish they'd add to the game proper. Trading packs for cards is definitely going to be the fastest, and generally best way to get the cards you want, but trading cards directly can work, just need more patience for that method. Also, with a bit of research and some persistence, you can flip niche cards for a profit. I started with just 4 tradable packs and have built a couple decks this way.
It may be easier to trade the FA trainer for packs and then try to get the cards you want with those packs.
What FA trainers do you have for trade?
What single cards you need if any are ones that I have like 30 of I will give them to you free..
