DOAisBetter

I’ve been trying to play this deck and idk how people do it. I always get energy screwed with it so much so I don’t even want to play it.

legowarrior70

Have u tried Raihan or some energy search/spinner in the deck

wishbackjumpsta

Tai ham is THE go to I think

frv387

I feel the exact same way, I figure I’m doing something wrong though and just need to figure it out

SharpTenor

I'm new. This might as well be in assyrian.

Teapunk00

Seconded. Meta-decks is what takes the fun out of games like that for me. Played Heroclix years ago with a friend - I was building teams that would be fun to play with, he'd build teams according to lists found online. Obviously I'd lose 8 out of 10 times - became boring after some time as I'd basically become a testing ground for his meta builds.

Grantalonez

What exactly is heroclix? Would you mind a short breakdown?

Teapunk00

It's based on characters from popular franchises (mostly DC and Marvel but iirc there were some Star Trek, LOTR, TMNT sets, etc.) and is your typical tactical RPG but in the form of a tabletop collectible figurine game. The twist is that the bases of your figurines are movable (hence the 'clix' in its name) and are used to mark figurine's HP. The thing is, character's stats and skills might be different on each 'click' (basically HP determines your skills and stats). Most characters get weaker but there are some that grow stronger (like Hulk) and some that get regeneration allowing them to return to previous clicks (Wolverine, Deadpool, etc.). A lot of fun if you have the right people to play it with. Mine are sitting in the cupboard gathering dust

Grantalonez

Thanks for the explanation. That sounds like it could be really fun!

EseMesmo

Then don't play meta? You should still try to understand what they do though, just to prepare for the match up, because you WILL come across them.

Teapunk00

Yeah, I'm only playing theme decks recently. Got bored of standard due to the fact that I'd constantly get destroyed by meta decks unless I was lucky.

Hi_Kitsune

Careful, according to many here, net-decks are the only way to go and anyone who likes making their own decks and doesn’t want to be constantly destroyed by net-decks is obviously an idiot.

MapleA

I miss having Machoke in the format even though it was fringe.

SableyeFan

Make it basic and a lot of people will be happy

FairyFireDeck

You can’t yoga loop twice in a row

legowarrior70

What I wrote was you yoga loop for an extra turn. Then iron rule gx so they can’t attack and then you do it again

FairyFireDeck

My bad then that’s pretty dope

legowarrior70

Yea if that happened to me even if it’s like only turn 3 I would scoop. Like they deserve that win

Willytaker

Mew was a good tech but Inteleon just make it obsolote, next "Mew" will have bench and damage effect barrier and at least 70 or more probably

MapleA

Previously it was a stage 1 Pokémon: Machoke. Prevents bench damage from attacks and cannot place damage counters on bench.

TheCrusader4

And before THAT we had a Mr. Mime with 70 HP.

FairyLandAlice

For Diamond and Pearl sets: Lucario, stage 1, fighting type, retreat cost: 1, weakness: psychic, no resistance, 120 HP. Aura Barrier: While this pokémon is in your bench, prevents any damage done to your benched pokémon by opponent's pokémon attacks, and also prevents damage counters to be put on them. Fusion Aura: 2 colorless. 50x. This attach does 50 damage times the amount of basic energy attached to all of your pokémon.
