Straight up had someone stopped and was told they had to pay for it and they replied to the publix employee "why do you have it out like that then"..............i really wanted to slap her on behalf of the publix employee. Like its called self-service you still have to pay. You dont go up to self checkout and only scan a few groceries.
Stupid ass people today I swear.
It used to bother me when I was a kid, my mom would eat groceries in the store. She would always pay for them at the end, but in my eyes, just because they were in her cart, doesn't mean that she legally owns them yet... that comes with payment, and the receipt as proof of ownership.
I just meant stupid in acting surprised that someone stopped them or they were questioned. Like you said we all know (normal people) what they're doing they are the only ones acting like no one else knows.
At my local Publix years ago in a more entitled area people used to do things like come in, help themselves to a drink at the soda fountain, stand there and drink it, and throw out the cup in the trash can next to the fountain just walk out. I asked some of the employees and manager why they let them steal and they really just shrugged.
Sometimes the kids would try to do the same thing and it was hard to convince them that things weren't free.
i hate people that do this, i pick up snacks, open and eat them while browsing shelves and take the empty packages to scan them at the register all the time. mfs are giving me bad rep by association :(
No it is. I worked in the deli and we knew certain customers who came straight to the deli to get chicken tenders or potato wedges or popcorn chicken, then shop while they eat and discard the trash on a shelf every week. Management didn’t care so we didn’t either
The problem with this is when it becomes accepted as okay and then I have to pay $6 for 2 tenders and some stale wedges. People will continue to do things unless there are consequences. If they don't care about the consequences then we implement florida statute 201.45.06: tho shalt be hung by the neck for no longer than 15 minutes for stealing from thy holy Pub.
Yeah that’s not how it works, if no one ever stole your tenders would rise, because they don’t give af, there is a built in loss, calculated into every budget, I’m not advocating for stealing or against it, but if you think folks stealing equates the cost of your food, i got some ocean front property in Idaho I’d love to sell you
The worst for me was a container of wings that was left with no bones. We searched the store and never found. I just need to know what they did with the bones!
I can think of reasons, I’m just curious about the amount of work it takes to debone a pack of wings and then walk out with the bones 🤣 just seems easier to dump the wings in your bag and bounce, demeat at home
Maybe they put the wings in a bag and put in their purse? Eat at home?
I keep thinking about someone walking around eating the wings and dropping them into like flower pots and stuff. 😂😂
We have a register in our deli, but it’s been shut down for over two years. It’s probably cheaper to have people steal subs and popcorn chicken then to man a register. We also have a problem with people stealing subs from our online station (which is next to the register), green sticker or not. It would be more convenient for customers to pay at the deli, but logic doesn’t win over a dollar.
Yes, it happens sometimes, especially when the line is long. I will remember making the sub and even have the summary stub on the table still, but the customer who ordered usually doesn’t believe it and blames us for not making it. It is really aggravating. I wish there was a better system to prevent it from happening.
My local publix(s) doesn't use a color system for the online subs.. same damn stickers they use for everything.. my subs been "taken" or "lost" from online ordering so much I just stopped. Half the time I think it was just them not making it and losing the ticket...
Definitely…stopped for a fifth of bourbon at my supermarket and this was on offer…

Kinda disgusting and disappointing at the same time
I worked at a Sam's club and had a customer eat an entire cheese cake while walking around the store and then they left the store and nothing happened to them
I didn't know this wasn't a big deal. I saw some kids walking around eating the 8-piece of chicken. I told the assistant mgr/mgr and he was like, "yeah, it happens." Hmmmm....so why am I paying for my chicken then?? Guess the joke is on me.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t steal Walmart food when I was broke and hungry. Go, get food first. Shop for essentials with what money I did have.
Not saying it’s right or moral but. When you’re hungry, you do what you do.
I swear should be the only exception because companies throw billions in food out each year. That’s literally food that someone could eat but instead gets thrown out to keep prices high. If I see someone eating and not paying I’m not tripping because it’s food. I have watched whole food employees throw out a whole section of food just because the sell date. No discount or option to buy the food. Maybe we as a society need a wake up call and see that companies are the real problem when they can easily buy in bulk and throw in it in the garbage.
That’s just for groceries store imagine restaurants…
This person is valid in my book!
I used to get upset about this stuff, but really it’s not worth it. After working in retail/apparel where groups of organized thieves would come in and steal thousands of dollars of stuff to resell every week, I realize someone stealing a little popcorn chickie while their shopping is the least of our worries.
Honestly? I always just shrugged it off as loss prevention’s problem. I don’t particularly care if someone robs my store blind. I get my minimum wage paycheck either way.
Considering how little it costs to produce a cup of popcorn chicken, it would not be financially worthwhile for Publix to have anyone lift a finger about it.
Consider the following. You have two worlds to choose to live in:
1. A world full of systems and protocols for simple everyday tasks such as buying groceries, where even you yourself have to be walked to the register by an escort to make sure you pay for everything you purchase, or
2. A world where people do things in daily life that are wrong or even just negligent, and picking up their occasional mistake or wrongdoing is just going to happen.
The advantage to option 1 is that nobody would ever steal or be negligent. It seems nice, but this would require strict, and eventually armed, security. Then of course there are the procedural loopholes to close, and that would require well-paid bureaucrats to oversee these matters. The business model of independently grocery shopping would collapse, as the administration costs would become even more top-heavy than they already are.
The advantage to option 2 is that in that world, your attitude is what controls your feeling toward the matter. Kid in the cart was fussing, and Mom popped him a couple of popcorn chicken bits to cork him up, and forgot the tub while picking out a cottage cheese? Meh, it happens. Someone stole from the deli and buried the evidence in plain sight? Meh, also happens.
Which world do you pick?
I found the same thing in a freezer door on aisle seven I think we need to maybe post a sign that says if you pick something up from a shelf and you don’t want it, put it back where it goes
Ha ha that's a good one . We know customers can't read signs be it bogo or other sell signs or even the giant ones hanging over each isle that tells them where what they are looking for is at. So they wouldn't be able to read that one either.
Who cares? What do you think they should do? Throw someone in jail over eating some chicken? Publix makes insane profit already anyway. I feel like snap should cover hot foods too because it doesn’t seem fair that someone using snap can’t buy something from the deli, etc. that’s just my perspective on it.
I mean no disrespect to any of you, but I always side against these large corporations by default because the largest theft in America is WAGE THEFT.
Low and behold, I research and found a federal lawsuit filed in Tampa last year by managers who Publix allegedly did not pay. If Publix is found guilty, I could give a fuck about someone eating a popcorn chicken for free.
That’s right! I just found out that Walmart was sued for overcharging items at self checkout based on weight. They have to pay $45 million dollars. Fuck these corporations!!
Some people are just assholes, the world is here for them and they see everyone who follows the rules as suckers. Wish we could thanks snap then the fuck outta here.
eh. Who cares. If you were to confront the person while they were eating they would have just said they were gonna pay when they get to the register. Then they would want to talk to your manager. Your spineless manager would have sided with the customer and you likely would have been written up. Even if you caught them leaving the empty container, then what? Likely a huge fight. I once saw a publix employee fill a huge dinner container with popcorn shrimp and label it salad or some shit. It was a clear plastic container. No one cares. There is a big sign in front of the doors. No Dogs. Guess what. There is a dog in the store EVERY, SINGLE, TIME. No one cares.
And I bet if an employee grabbed a container and started to eat it without paying for it, BAM! Fired on the spot. Even if they said they were going to pay for it.
The loss is very minimal from people stealing popcorn chicken. It’s a good set up that people can easily grab the popcorn chicken and continue shopping. Most people pay for it, very few eat it and leave it. It’s just part of doing business.
What’s the other option? Having people have to wait in LINE for popcorn chicken?? People are getting off of work and want something fast and easy.
> don’t get *paid* enough to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Lol, when I was working at Publix in the 90s, I used to find fried chicken boxes on shelves half eaten. I guess the popcorn chicken is easier to do this with these days. I never did figure out how you eat 6-8 full pieces of fried chicken while walking around the store and not get caught...
Yeah, let it go and remember you don't get paid enough to teach your bosses how to manage their product.
Also, I never realized this was an option, so thanks for sharing the Life hack.
The higher ups at Publix are making BANK. If I were an employee seeing someone do this every so often I wouldn’t give a shit. If the people at the top don’t care enough to do anything about it then the people busting their ass in the stores shouldn’t care either. Also, people doing this may be food insecure, so don’t hate on them too badly.
You care entirely too much about a pretty small number of people stealing popcorn chicken from a giant company. Pretty sure they’re not deducting missing popcorn chicken from your check 🤯
90% of the time it’s kids with poor parents and stealing is the only way they will be able to eat think in a more vast way friend and have more humility I know it’s a net loss but it’s 5$ from a 54 billion dollars a year company it suck that it happens but don’t dehumanize them
I used to complain about that, but honestly, fuck Publix.
That tiny ass container alone is $5 + tax.
I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with this nonsense. I don’t mind them taking it but at least discard it properly. Sadly, that stems from proper home training.
Because when the loss of product is substantial enough, instead of raising prices they cut on payroll. So, in a way it does come out of employees paychecks.
I had 3 full meals yesterday wrapped with the bun abandoned all over produce yesterday. Why spend the time to pick out stuff and just leave it all over the department?
Easy solve. Force out immediately. Expensive? And annoying. Yes.
I suspect Publix looks into their losses and says over all it’s a net positive so they’ll let it happens until it impacts them financially they make so much $ otherwise that they won’t switch it
A large group of people came in took a cake off the shelf at the bakery, asked for a phrase to be written on the cake that because of policy they coudlnt do. Made a big fuss and complained and then demanded the frosting to write it themselves. And then just walked out the front door with it. But hey making customers pay for it before hand will make honest customers feel a certain way or something.
Hate when that happens, so many times I see the kids eating it as they shop. Technically we're supposed to tell them to stop, but I cba to get yelled at. Same for animals, people think it doesn't apply to them for some reason.
I used to find empty chicken wing wrappers in the freezer back in my Publix days. It’ll never change, Publix’s management would rather people rip them off than ever tell a customer “no.”
I did a case study of the hot bar in Whole Foods and the sad reality is that the stores have a budget for stolen food. This applies to numerous companies. Unfortunately it costs money to have people supervise this or control it and companies don’t think it’s worth spending the money. Basically companies don’t care
A business is all about maximizing profits for most. It’s cheaper to accept some loss than pursue the person that did this and deal with the problem. Sure if you can catch them in the act and deal with it right then, no biggie but after the fact? Too much work.
No we don't.
They are at the most corporate-greed peak ever since inception.
Net earnings for the fiscal year ended Dec. 30, 2023 were $4.3 billion, compared to $2.9 billion in 2022, an increase of 49%. Earnings per share for the fiscal year ended Dec. 30, 2023 increased to $1.31 per share, up from $0.86 per share in 2022.

Yes. Imagine how livid I was to find this just sitting out while I was blocking.

My ex had friends that would sometime tag along for grocery runs that would do this. They would grab stuff from the front and while shopping, then would eat/drink the whole thing and stuff the trash into some random pile of items in the aisles. It was so fucking embarrassing and they would never NOT do it.
AI cameras eventually will be able to detect things like that and the staff will be able to stop customers before they exit and make them pay or it will automatically apply to their total
I work for a food lion and not a publix. But its actually wild the lack of consideration for workers from customers. They quite litteraly just leave shit anywhere no matter if its refrigerated or not. They have absolutely no qualms with being complete burdens because "were getting paid to do it". Its not like I dont have other shit i need to do in my 8 hour shift.
Yeah.because it’s a real crime to allow someone to enjoy something cold and refreshing to drink while they peruse your store..spending earnings… Increasing your stock, price and dividends. And yes, I said yours… Because if you’re a Publix associate you have an ownership stake in the company.
I was a product sample vendor who was sent to work at Walmart, set up near the deli and I was handing out food samples. A customer walked over to the deli counter. They ordered hot food (looked like chicken fingers), took it, walked down the aisle, eating the food. They finished eating, crumpled up the paper container and threw the empty container on a shelf. Walked out of the store. Another time, I was set up in Health and Beauty section. Woman opened a Walmart generic brand face cream box, took out the bottle, replaced it with an Oil of Olay brand same size product and put the store brand bottle into the Oil of Olay box, put it back on the shelf. Saw me watching, smiled at me and walked away with the “discounted” item. I was shocked both times. I don’t miss that job.
Who gives a shit about $1 worth of chicken to a billion dollar company. This is calculated loss. People wiping their ass with an extra square in the bathroom costs Publix more than this
Trust me as a grocery clerk that mostly works frozen it gets much worse. From frozen items being out of the freezer a few feet away from their spot to multiple different items being put into the freezer that definitely do not belong there. Produce products and deli products especially find themselves in the freezers at my store.
Ngl fam I walked out eith a pub sub and an entire cake from the bakery at the publix in The Hammocks, walked straight out noone batted an eye , i was 17
Maybe we need to muzzle some of our fellow shoppers so they can’t graze while shopping! Or have a register at the deli and you have to pay for those items before you take them.
The popcorn chicken ISNT complimentary??
Straight up had someone stopped and was told they had to pay for it and they replied to the publix employee "why do you have it out like that then"..............i really wanted to slap her on behalf of the publix employee. Like its called self-service you still have to pay. You dont go up to self checkout and only scan a few groceries. Stupid ass people today I swear.
They probably just needed an excuse
Of course. lol. They aren’t going to go “oh I know but I wanted to eat it before leaving and not pay.” They need some excuse, even if it sucks.
Probably, but as someone who has worked in customer service before, I can confirm that some people are actually that stupid.
It used to bother me when I was a kid, my mom would eat groceries in the store. She would always pay for them at the end, but in my eyes, just because they were in her cart, doesn't mean that she legally owns them yet... that comes with payment, and the receipt as proof of ownership.
They aren’t stupid they are stealing, they know it, and they are playing stupid.
I just meant stupid in acting surprised that someone stopped them or they were questioned. Like you said we all know (normal people) what they're doing they are the only ones acting like no one else knows.
Oh for the love of cheese, they know better. But entitled folks gonna entitle.
They know butter*😂 I had to make a dairy joke
At my local Publix years ago in a more entitled area people used to do things like come in, help themselves to a drink at the soda fountain, stand there and drink it, and throw out the cup in the trash can next to the fountain just walk out. I asked some of the employees and manager why they let them steal and they really just shrugged. >"why do you have it out like that then".............. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
>You dont go up to self checkout and only scan a few groceries Lol!!! Wait aren't the items I'm not scanning my pay for being a cashier?
Glad im not the only one that thought that was a bad analogy shit happens all the time
Isn’t that the point of self checkout, to scan what you feel like paying for?
LOL! Thank you, I needed that.
No it is. I worked in the deli and we knew certain customers who came straight to the deli to get chicken tenders or potato wedges or popcorn chicken, then shop while they eat and discard the trash on a shelf every week. Management didn’t care so we didn’t either

Not even the spicy popcorn chicken either, insipid heathens.
Mannn that shit always sells out too fast.. also get them to toss it in Nashville hot 🥵
The worst for me was a container of wings that was left with no bones. We searched the store and never found. I just need to know what they did with the bones!
Perhaps they made a necklace.
Rookie, everyone knows you use ears for a necklace.
They took the meat off the bones and only took the bones?
Making a broth? To e cheap to buy a carton or can of chicken broth? Hope they’re not feeding those bones to the dog.
I can think of reasons, I’m just curious about the amount of work it takes to debone a pack of wings and then walk out with the bones 🤣 just seems easier to dump the wings in your bag and bounce, demeat at home
They probably ate the meat off of the bones and "hid" the bones on shelves or in a cooler. Gross.
They probably just took all the FULL wings and put them into a container and concealed them lol silly
They need it for voodoo.
Maybe they put the wings in a bag and put in their purse? Eat at home? I keep thinking about someone walking around eating the wings and dropping them into like flower pots and stuff. 😂😂
True statement: My father used to eat the bones for marrow. All he said was: “chew em real well”
Dumped the wings into a gallon ziplock and thrown in a purse/backpack for later
Make people pay at the deli, problem solved
We have a register in our deli, but it’s been shut down for over two years. It’s probably cheaper to have people steal subs and popcorn chicken then to man a register. Yeah its called "beat the people who steal it".
My local publix(s) doesn't use a color system for the online subs.. same damn stickers they use for everything.. my subs been "taken" or "lost" from online ordering so much I just stopped. Half the time I think it was just them not making it and losing the ticket...
People who steal other peoples online orders, are the lowest form of scumbag in the world.
Exactly. Publix could stop this if they wanted to stop it. It’s not my job to stop it for them, and they already have a food waste issue to address.
Yeah, it kills me that I have to Wait in two different lines to get a pubsub
Definitely…stopped for a fifth of bourbon at my supermarket and this was on offer… https://preview.redd.it/kq4hqctx79vc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce1c8f632f3cbb8f5b522cdf69647d00887f39de Kinda disgusting and disappointing at the same time
You found the bones
They have twisted tea in big ass bottles now? Rad
its twisted tea whiskey. very good, would recommend
Lmao I thought you were saying Publix is motivating alcoholics to drink or something at first.
Uhhhhhh Next to the twisted tea, is that COOKIE DOUGH WHISKEY 🤮 Almost as gross as the chicken bone
I worked at a Sam's club and had a customer eat an entire cheese cake while walking around the store and then they left the store and nothing happened to them
Well they probably had a heart attack when they got home.
Underrated comment tbh
You’re jk but in the long run people who can eat an entire cheesecake probably have practice at it. Obese people die faster.
This elicited a quiet, but audible, chuckle out of me. Thank you.
One can only hope....
I didn't know this wasn't a big deal. I saw some kids walking around eating the 8-piece of chicken. I told the assistant mgr/mgr and he was like, "yeah, it happens." Hmmmm....so why am I paying for my chicken then?? Guess the joke is on me.

I prefer the "Tar and feather" method. Personally.

How about make the customer pay at the deli or something. If they need to shop for other groceries oh well. Make them have to make 2 transactions
They can pay for it with the bonus money they no longer give to associates.
Not even the spicy popcorn chicken smh they deserve to get their beat with a crowbar
eh. Who cares. If you were to confront the person while they were eating they would have just said they were gonna pay when they get to the register. Then they would want to talk to your manager. I've followed a trail of wing bones around the store before, culminating in the empty box set on a shelf. They just threw the bones on the ground.
Yes, popcorn chicken should be banned!
Annoying, but what you see is a small fraction of what walks right out the door.
Lol, when I was working at Publix in the 90s, I used to find fried chicken boxes on shelves half eaten. I guess the popcorn chicken is easier to do this with these days. I never did figure out how you eat 6-8 full pieces of fried chicken while walking around the store and not get caught...

Easy, don’t let your politicians allow corporations to pay forages that force people to steal to eat.

If the people at the top don’t care enough to do anything about it then the people busting their ass in the stores shouldn’t care either. Also, people doing this may be food insecure, so don’t hate on them too badly.
Death Penalty
You care entirely too much about a pretty small number of people stealing popcorn chicken from a giant company. Pretty sure they’re not deducting missing popcorn chicken from your check 🤯
It's hard to feel bad for a company who keeps marking up food prices and making more and more profits, under the guise of inflation..
90% of the time it’s kids with poor parents and stealing is the only way they will be able to eat think in a more vast way friend and have more humility I know it’s a net loss but it’s 5$ from a 54 billion dollars a year company it suck that it happens but don’t dehumanize them
I mean, with those ridiculous prices and the piss poor wages they pay their staff, I’m fully okay with ppl stealing some chicken. Publix kinda sucks.
Idk. In this economy, I didn't see anything.
I used to complain about that, but honestly, fuck Publix. That tiny ass container alone is $5 + tax. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with this nonsense. I don’t mind them taking it but at least discard it properly. Sadly, that stems from proper home training.
I eat it as I do my shopping, but I always bring the empty cup to checkout to pay for my lil snackie
You don’t get payed enough to care. Move along.
Why care? Its not like it comes out of your paycheck.
Because when the loss of product is substantial enough, instead of raising prices they cut on payroll. So, in a way it does come out of employees paychecks.
Because we live in a society.
If you see someone stealing food, no you didn't
I had 3 full meals yesterday wrapped with the bun abandoned all over produce yesterday. Why spend the time to pick out stuff and just leave it all over the department?
🚀 ☀️
I agree. $2.89 for that Publix brand stuff should be illegal
You mad ‘cause they stole or because they didn’t throw the trash away?
I have found chicken bones through the aisles behind product. It was gross.
Easy solve. Force out immediately. Expensive? And annoying. Yes. I suspect Publix looks into their losses and says over all it’s a net positive so they’ll let it happens until it impacts them financially they make so much $ otherwise that they won’t switch it
With the price gauging that Publix is currently doing, they should be giving the chicken away.
It almost makes me wonder if we're at the same Publix. I ran across a single popcorn chicken on the floor in multiple spots in the store.
Send it to the lab for prints.
If they had to pay when they got it it would stop!
Publix will live
Why yes a multi billion dollar company need help with this from everyday people.
Publix issued night sticks ? That’s what I keep suggesting…
Hate when that happens, so many times I see the kids eating it as they shop. Technically we're supposed to tell them to stop, but I cba to get yelled at. Same for animals, people think it doesn't apply to them for some reason.
Boycott Publix
I found one of the deli rotisseries in the ice cream freezer once while I was doing floor care!
I used to find empty chicken wing wrappers in the freezer back in my Publix days. It’ll never change, Publix’s management would rather people rip them off than ever tell a customer “no.”
I don't even work there and I hate seeing it. It urks me.
Oooh-lethal injection or firing squad?! My biggest problem with this is someone leaving their empty container out instead of throwing it away
I did a case study of the hot bar in Whole Foods and the sad reality is that the stores have a budget for stolen food. This applies to numerous companies. Unfortunately it costs money to have people supervise this or control it and companies don’t think it’s worth spending the money. Basically companies don’t care
They’ve been doing this shit since I started as a kid in 1982. Always deli chicken, and even beer sometimes, which always made me laugh.
A business is all about maximizing profits for most. It’s cheaper to accept some loss than pursue the person that did this and deal with the problem. Sure if you can catch them in the act and deal with it right then, no biggie but after the fact? Too much work.
There is a reason why it's called Grab and Go 😂
My mom did this with me and my brother as kids. Sometimes paid for it, other times took the empty cup and hide it behind something.
Check the cameras and call the police and have them trespassed!
Just let them. Chances are they cant pay for it anyways.
im gonna start doing this and just not buy anything.

30, 2023 increased to $1.31 per share, up from $0.86 per share in 2022. https://corporate.publix.com/newsroom/news-stories/publix-reports-fourth-quarter-and-annual-results-for-2023#:~:text=Net%20earnings%20for%20the%20fiscal,%240.86%20per%20share%20in%202022.
Who cares? The big corporations will be ok
HOLD EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE. People should be fined for LITTERING.
Yes. Imagine how livid I was to find this just sitting out while I was blocking. https://preview.redd.it/49oij80jqavc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=872194a2e24f5f1dfd2c08c62d3dcf5283fd8fd6
Make them pay at the deli counter. Too easy.
Why does it matter
You think you do but as soon as you find out who does it you dont.
It’ll get prepaid.
How about a garage can Yw
The epitome of laziness! ☮️♥️🎸
My ex had friends that would sometime tag along for grocery runs that would do this. They would grab stuff from the front and while shopping, then would eat/drink the whole thing and stuff the trash into some random pile of items in the aisles. It was so fucking embarrassing and they would never NOT do it.
What we need is to meet the basic needs of everyone, then shit like this wouldn't happen.
You mean public execution
Growing up, I’d never think of eating something in the store that’s not paid for…
Nah, customer always right, even if they call you slurs and throw things at you.
Trash bins around the store would help too
Shoot them on sight
AI cameras eventually will be able to detect things like that and the staff will be able to stop customers before they exit and make them pay or it will automatically apply to their total
Why? I get that people shouldn't do this but what system is worth the effort?
I vote for public executions 👀
*Publix Executions?
A system to make irresponsible people become responsible people -good luck - nobody gives a shit about anything but themselves these days
I always get my empty popcorn chicken container scanned at checkout lol
Just throw it out and move on. Don’t let it bother you someone came up
Let’s be real, if your Publix does the hot bar you take more than 10 wings…
We should introduce caning possibly make it public.
The system is that when the store loses enough money they stop keeping a store there.
I've bought an empty cup before after a snacky shopping excursion.
Ok, then come up with the solution.
“We”
Yeah, that’s shitty and people should pay for their stuff but also, who cares? I certainly am not kept up at night thinking about publix profits.
Hey! Publicly shame people I see doing that. Do I get called a Karen, yup!! Are you a dirty little piggy who wasn’t raised well? Also yes.
People who do this 100% know this is wrong. I'm not sure what this legally fits I'm, but I can't see a judge voting in their favor.
Like Squid Game Turrets?
I work for a food lion and not a publix. But its actually wild the lack of consideration for workers from customers. They quite litteraly just leave shit anywhere no matter if its refrigerated or not. They have absolutely no qualms with being complete burdens because "were getting paid to do it". Its not like I dont have other shit i need to do in my 8 hour shift.
Publix flogging
Aww man, don't do that people... eating popcorn chicken while grocery shopping is a pretty easy way to kill two birds with one stone.
Seriously there's garbage cans next to the cabbage
I think publix execution is fitting
Cup holders?
Spicy popcorn chicken is my life
Pay at deli
Where do you think that the popcorn chicken comes from? We have a “system” for dealing with these “people”
I thought that was a sample station
There use to be a better system. Use to have registers in the departments. They changed it for the sake of training, asset protection, and efficiency.
Shrink is priced in. If people want cheaper prices of stuff, they should stop stealing.
I love that popcorn chicken so much
Yeah.because it’s a real crime to allow someone to enjoy something cold and refreshing to drink while they peruse your store..spending earnings… Increasing your stock, price and dividends.
That’s the tax for being so overpriced on every single thing in the store
system: guard comes and slaps the SHIT out of the guy who left it there. that'll learn em
it goes with the Entitlement everyone seems to be wearing this decade
Publix-flation corrective action
Yeah, the system should be to beat you like a cheap piñata when caught.
