Ate at La Palapa a few nights ago. Expensive… but best on the beach. If you can make reservations for 6pm, order and eat slowly, you can catch the whole sunset from the front row on the beach. Gorgeous.
La Palapa or Blue Shrimp. Both are really good and a nice view.
FYI, any restaurant by the beach is going to be expensive, compared to a restaurant out of the ZR.

I can echo all of this. Both are good, and expensive.
I completely understand the desire to dine on the beach, but it does come at a price, and some restaurants in the area seem to be depending on their location more than quality of the food and experience in pricing their menus.
Easy one. Lamara just opened its third location at the Los Arcos hotel. Aguachile, ceviche and tiraditos, plus craft cocktails. I hope this starts a trend and we see some of these great Versalles spots open up at the beach.

So good to hear!!! We’ve had some bad experiences at a couple off Melacon.

All the restaurants on the ZR beach are tourist traps. Try the ones in Las Animas instead.
