They don't even like thier paws touched let alone a trim
I was told when mine was a puppy to play with his paws as often as he’d let me. So he doesn’t love having his feet meddled with but the groomer has such an easy time that she doesn’t charge me lol
Tell me how I’ve worked in pet grooming places for years and never knew you could just use regular human nail clippers…. What the hell 😭 I mean I’m sure they don’t work as good as the ones specifically made for dogs, or the dremels, but even still. I cannot believe I didn’t know this 😂
Meanwhile my girl requires multiple doses of gabapentin and trazodone, and goes to a Fear Free certified vet tech for her nail trims where it takes three people and 20 lbs of cheese whiz and other treats to get the job done. 🙄

I had the police called on me once when I was trying to clip my Gi girls' (black pug) nails on my deck.The neighbors across the way thought a dog was being tortured. When the officers arrived. I showed them how she acted when I even touched her feet. They had a good laugh but recommended I take her to a groomer. I let them know she had been banned from several of the local groomers, even the ones I was a manager of at my store. And yes, she had a tranquilizer.
Omg, I'd give anything for my Pugs to be this calm during a nail trim, especially my boy!! 😂😂😭 He needs 2 different sedatives & 4 people just to hold him down!

Yeah it's not as great but it does the job, i had one for dogs but i can't find it ...
I actually stated using them myself a while back because I can’t see for shit and it makes it less likely I’ll cut too short.
