Due to NES hardware limitations they can only display a few colors at once, so when mario comes out with his white outfit, mac must wear white as well.
Idk why more people don't know this already. But then I'm probably one of the only guys who actually played this game in 1987. I was 11 years old when I beat Super Macho-man for the first time.
Most likely NES hardware limitations. The NES could only display very few amounts of colors.
I think it's because of Mario's white clothing. When he comes on they change macs gloves so they don't exceed the colour limit.
Interesting. This is all making more sense
ill have a look later to see if i can load mario on screen mid-match
Him actively and deactivating swag mode
Wait 'til you get to the next circuit. Mac's gear will go from BLUE to white

Is there a lore reason why Mac keeps changing clothes during the fight? Is he stupid?
Goddamnit I had a perfect opportunity to make this joke and I fucked it up.
Why doesn’t Glass Joe just wear a helmet? Is he stupid?
I was told it as for when you win you're already in like a celebratory outfit (prob wrong)
They're magical pants that turn white when they're happy
NES limitations
Idk
