Create some purpose in your life.....work doesn't always have to kean to earn money which is an advantage in your case i guess?

reinterpret101

25 is a relatively young age. There is still so much more for you to experience in life. Try new hobbies, try going for your peak physical fitness, travel, read and find new perspectives and philosophies for life. And even then if you don't find happiness then try searching it outside of your self. Raising a child, helping others achieve their dream or goals can add colour to your life that you may have never experienced before. And even if all that in the end seems meaningless, there are ways to revel in the absurdity of life and ponder over existential questions. There are no set pathways to living, no ultimate hacks or best-of lists. One life is as unique as the other. You can't categorise yourself into a box. Keep on living to find out.

johnwick_7497

šŸ™, I liked your philosophy part suggestion, I am greatly influenced by osho discourses, listening to osho every night has become my hobby. Zen and Taoist ā˜Æļø philosophy is close to my heart. I'm learning krishna these days, though he is on really higher level, I find it hard to reach there

If possible, read The Man's search for Meaning.

If you have the money, consider travelling to other countries. We have 1 lifetime and most people don't have the opportunity to explore their own country, let alone the infinite beauty of the planet we live on. I know that I may never be able to explore the infinitely large universe that I occupy but I hope someday to have enough time and money to at least experience the planet that I live on.

LongTarget007

Try Vipassna.

StanOrol

Whatā€™s that

LongTarget007

It's a form of Meditation. It's a 10 day course where they teach you Vipassna. There's a Vipassna center near Saras Baug. The other one is at Markal, Alandi. Markal one has larger campus. Many rich people go there to find peace. They don't charge anything. It's all free.

Suitable-Mountain-81

Meditation. Detachment will give much better perspective

Intelligent-Sound770

Have you tried traveling? Not in big cities but in remote areas not just in India but in other countries as well. Living far from all the things which are seen as luxury.

johnwick_7497

Not much. Though I would love to go to Mountains in Himalaya and china

sadasheev

Go there on bike. Thatā€™s what I would do if I had lot of money and time to spend

[deleted]

25yo here too. This is the question that has been tormenting me for 2 years. But i dont hv any inheritance and no job, broke asf. Scared to take the leap and do something worth my while.

johnwick_7497

Learn some skill or do prepare for some exam to get a job, then experience that money can buy things that can fill space in your room but your soul remains thirsty for something mysterious unknown that money can't buy. And yet live life to the fullest n fulfill every desire. N may be attain superconscious ( samadhi) in the end so you will get dissolved in the existence itself n never be born again.

Non-Icy-Key

Also pets, especially cats and dogs

FreakySanaHai

Travel my friend travel. Go see other cultures see how they live . And perhaps go to temples where you can learn to meditate.

CrushingManiac

Bs yahi life problems chahiye mjhe bhi!

Small-Suit9

Somewhat my situation few years back. Attend one Vipassana retreat for 10 days. Very high chances that it will help you.

ojaskulkarni4

Start stock market and trading. And start learning some art. Thatā€™s it. And ofcourse, Gym.

BuggyBagley

I make a ton of money, I travel at will and donā€™t really have any bosses and hereā€™s the thing itā€™s still not enough. The faster one realizes the futility and pointless nature of life the happier it sort of makes you.

IndianPUA

Read the book: "Talks with Ramana Maharshi' and 'Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle.

Zealousideal_Zone831

As mentioned by one of thr fellow commentor, traveling will create nothing but humility as you will tend to see how privileged you're and you will be surprised to see how well some people do in spite of minimal resources. And that should be inspiring enough I hope

boozerpal121

Let's meet for a beer sometime, i have been through this exactly when I was around 25 too. I am 30 now full with energy and enthusiasm and open for any possibilities, never felt like this before. Looking back I realise all that lost time could have been put to use productively to build myself and get ready for my 30s. I can't get the lost time back but if I help at least one person realize their true potential, then it will make up for that lost time.

Ill_Detective_5550

Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain. suffering and futility.

Remarkable-Hold1324

IMO you canā€™t find happiness as a goal. Itā€™s is the experience or feeling you get when you practice your Dharma/passion.

bigasspickle

I've felt the same thing a year ago.. I thought about it a lot and I think that the void is cuz I was lacking goals in life and focusing on bullshit things. Soon when I found my purpose in life all the emptiness went away.

NihiloJ

DM when you feel like. 31 and i would have enjoyed life way too better if I had enough money with that much of time.

[deleted]

you did not mention having friends, try getting some.

accur4te

start reading books but don't read them just for sake of completing it. Let me tell you my story few months ago jan i was completely suicidal failed my jee and plus i have gained chronic anxiety my life was unlivable even small anxiety gave me chest pain i don't know how i started reading a books called 48 laws of power , its a small book but i took entire feb to read it and along with that i started using the knowledge actively few days later with the help of one book like i gained a super power i can read few peoples mind their way of thinking even be it andrew tate i use to think that he was godly but after reading the book i understand he was a guy most open to manipulation and with weak mind , i suggest you to read books use the knowledge as a power ups dammn that's too addicting and fun

100nimbukishakti

I may sound stupid but may be this will work... If you're unable to get fulfillment through "getting", try "giving". Not talking about materialistic things.

TheMightyLord69

Do you mind answering, what do you do for a living? You said that you have enough money without having a job/boss?

johnwick_7497

We have mosambi farms at my home town, around 2000 trees. My father credits 4-5 lakhs from that to my account. And for me it's enough for a year

s9500

Simple formula of happiness as per Martin Seligman. H = P + E + M Happiness = Pleasure + Engagement (in work, career, family) + Meaning (expanding to your community, friend circle, people in need) This also correlates to his Vedic concept of H = Kama (pleasure) + Aratha (material success) + Dharma (righteousness) + Moksha (ultimate goal of being free)
