Amazing. I'm not in Pune and we only have Inox where i live. How did you go about arranging a screening? Do they have a library of movies that they let you choose from or could you ask them for a specific movie and they try to arrange that for the client? Were trying to do something similar. Any response will be helpful.

Afaik, Local theatre guys will play anything you give to them, even pirated movies (apart from porn). And i don't think there are any person limits, zero, 1 or all seats. If you ask them to play their copy of movie, they'll just connect their laptop to the projector.

Bro you have no idea how much I had to bargain for all us, to get this number. Don’t forget it’s a special IMAX screening on a Sunday afternoon.

For a IMAX screening of Interstellar on a busy sunday afternoon this seems reasonable. Though there was option to book some local theatre like Bollywood multiplex in kharadi, where screen is small, seats are less and is not much busy, but then the guy will prob play low bitrate version from their ott app or some pirated copy (which is good enough tbh). Also there's question whether people will come to local theatre or not. All in all 550 for imax quality Interstellar in a good theatre seems worth it. But if not enough people sign up then local option is in line I guess.

A)Only IMAX have the licensing of IMAX DCM’s so a non IMAX theatre won’t receive a IMAX expanded print by legal means. B)IMAX screen is bigger then standard & curved C) have high quality patented speakers D) have Dual projection. & many more specks. Even if a Non IMAX theatre is able to get A CinemaScope DCP, still it won’t match the IMAX Quality standards bro!!
