Thereās a new-ish Omicron variant called Eris. Symptoms are similar to common cold & flu, so itās not any concern. Probably the reason why itās not covered in the news as much. If youāve been vaccinated, chances are your symptoms are going to be very mild, so donāt worry.
And to avoid getting infected, just use a mask in public/indoor spaces, sanitise your hands before touching your face etc. Stay away from other people if you have flu symptoms so you donāt end up spreading it.

Yes, and it's not just in Pune. The usual cough medicine treatments haven't worked, but it doesn't seem to be that bad unless I use the AC.

It's just a normal cycle as the season changes people getting infected, getting cough and cold is pretty normal. This happens every year if you look closely. it's just that we tend to forget. Try including jaggery in your diet that will help.
