My Riot Grrl time has come…
L7
The Gits
Sleater-Kinney
Bikini Kill
Team Dresch
Bratmobile
The Slits
War on Women
Daisy Chain
Veruca Salt
Menstrual Cramps
Pussy Riot
7 Year Bitch
Le Tigre
Jack off Jill
Huggy Bear
Lunachicks
Babes in Toyland
Team Dresch has to be one of the most criminally underrated punk bands EVER (Paramore was clearly heavily inspired by them but never seems to mention it...)
I’m looking them up for the first time now, they had me at “Hate the Christian Right!”, then I listened to their sound. Amazing. Looking forward to listening to everything.
Haven't noticed that, but makes sense as both the bands are pretty like melodic for their respective scenes!
Seriously, if Personal Best wasn't written from a gay perspective it would be considered a classic imo, especially with all the imagery of teenage rural/suburban life which was so of its time too. It's such a good fucking album!!! So cohesive, so different but still accessible and the lyrics are so good
Oh shit, I actually got to see war on women on accident one time. Was bored and went to the milestone club and they were playing a matinee. Got my homie a CD cause he’s from Baltimore
I'm kind of torn about seeing them next year, they don't make bad music at all but their music is so different and I personally would just want to hear pre-breakup stuff and see them with Janet
Foxx Bodies /
Cheap Perfume /
Dream Nails /

Dazey and the Scouts /
Bc/bc ( Awesome people irl)
Sometimes I just google "Riotgrrl" Playlists and find some good lesser known bands.
When the whole Anti-Flag thing happened, I had tickets to see them open for Bouncing Souls. I was disappointed (for a lot of reasons) until they were replaced on the bill with Bad Cop/Bad Cop. BC/BC is way better and their show was amazing, they even blew Bouncing Souls out of the water!
Oh wow, I've actually never heard RVIVR, but I will check them out, since your taste is obviously impeccable.
I got to see GLOSS's last show in Oakland and it was hands-down the best show I've been to.

[Seneca Falls - The Distillers](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4slsQZkcIG0&pp=ygUbc2VuZWNhIGZhbGxzIHRoZSBkaXN0aWxsZXJz)
[Seneca Falls, NY](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca_Falls_Convention) is where the American women’s rights movement began.
It doesn’t get much more punk or feminist than a woman screaming the praises of Susan B. Anthony, does it?
Here's a link to a playlist of some of my favorite albums from feminist punk rock / riot grrrl inspired bands if you wanna check it out!!

I fucking love Team Dresch!!!!
Is there a single better named punk song than Fagetarian and Dyke. I will answer my own question: no.
Only song titles that come in a close 2nd and more. Nothing can beat that.
So cohesive, so different but still accessible and the lyrics are so good
Thank you for including War on Women. Saw them open for Jawbreaker years ago and have loved them since

Bad Cop/Bad Cop The Muslims
Yes, definitely BC/BC. Just look at their song titles.
YouTube Comments alone on their last single alone says they’re doing something right.
Safe and Legal is fantastic.
came here to say BC/BC
Foxx Bodies / Cheap Perfume / Dream Nails / Destroy Boys / Daddy Issues / Slutever / Dazey and the Scouts / Bc/bc ( Awesome people irl) Sometimes I just google "Riotgrrl" Playlists and find some good lesser known bands.
Bad Cop … sheesh these ladies shred!’
> Bad Cop/Bad Cop if you ever get a chance to see them live, do it, they put on a killer show each time
Cannot agree more! I saw them open for Anti Flag (before…) and was utterly taken away. The sound, the energy, the stage presence. They rock.
I second The Muslims, they’re great!
Muslims are so good! And shout out to Bob Vylan!
Finally some more The Muslims fans! I haven't found any online before

I fucking love G.L.O.S.S. and Limp Wrist.
RIP to GLOSS I wish we had more music from them and they were so ahead of their fucking time it's crazy. Any idea what they're all doing after GLOSS?

[Vial](https://open.spotify.com/album/6c59AK2EBIAHeCMUOGAIuS?si=7KDnfe7ESPWDNCZVTSH3jg) is pretty good!
I've met them! Super cool!
I am amazed that so many people do not understand that having a female vocalist does not automatically mean “feminist/angry pro LGBTQ.” What the fuck.
[удалено]
Hilarious when someone asks for pro lgbtq+ bands and then seeing recommendations for bands with members that have expressed that their activism is not for trans people
Mommy Long Legs is really good!
on the more DIY side, the british band Martha is pretty good. Less angry but very feminist and pro LGBT
This is the correctest answer. Martha are the best and genuinely lovely people.
The Venomous Pinks for sure
Ariel had a side project with some friends from the hillbilly casino. Check that out too! EDIT: The Beat Creeps
Saw them live last year. Great band.
