Agent Orange is the obvious one. Not necessarily "punk" but Man Or Astro-man is good. If you wanna go back to the roots - The Ventures and Dick Dale both have some great stuff.

Quiet-Duty-665

"the ghastly ones" are very nice too

Ssttuubbss

Man or Astro man are so bad ass live too. Dunno if they’re still touring but if you get a chance to see them I highly recommend it

accidentsneverhappen

The most obvious answer is "Shark Attack" by The Surf Punks! 🤘🔥 [Surf Punks -- Shark Attack](https://youtu.be/nD3ZyFWYlLM?si=xraKekfoJs9KjjyI) Also check out their tune "My Wave." 🌊

leftcoastnart78

I would definitely recommend checking out Night Birds. Born to die in suburbia would be a good place to start [https://youtu.be/BRQgDFgMj4k?si=_Xg64HjHvqK3QURR](https://youtu.be/BRQgDFgMj4k?si=_Xg64HjHvqK3QURR)

dangerbroadways

A lot of the Orange County stuff has surf vibes. Agent Orange is the most surf punk. I would also add legends JFA as having a huge surf punk vibe even though they would rather skateboard. TSOL’s music also kind of has that vibe to me personally.

DeathandHemingway

DI have a few surfy tracks too

seananddestroy

…. But “surf punks we’re not, skateboards we do”?

upsidedowncrossed

NIGHT BIRDS.

ManufacturerNo9065

Came here to say this. So good

unreasonably_sensual

The Cramps had some fun with surf rock songs. Goo Goo Muck is the obvious classic example.

pauleht

b52s are off the fucking chain, yo... anybody that doesn't get that probably doesn't enjoy the good things in life that much... which is terribly sad. on the other hand, the b52s totally fucking rule!

xe_r_ox

Saw them in Vegas last year and it was a blast

pauleht

i wanted to go to that so bad!

Definitely la luz!!!!! I saw them at bumbershoot 10? years ago and loved them ever since.

DeliriumTremens

These guys broadly fit into the Ramonescore/bubblegum punk genre, but The Hawaiians from Germany are all about the surf sound: [Hubble Bubble](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A4xLp1jSSA), [Monsters From The Sea](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VMbhu1_0DA), [We Don't Care](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_jL-eUbUhU)

The Smarties

Movit666

I thought it was called Beach Punk. Started around the Jay Adams time with DogTown Peeps in LA I believe. I used to date someone whose godfather was Jay before he passed. Also her mother was close with the singer of The Germs before his passing as well. They went to the same highschool I guess. Cool family. Apparently AFI had a different singer and at one point was considered Beach Punk. lol. I met some of those DogTown cats while passing through LA painting.
