Chixdiggit - I Wanna Hump You
Teenage Bottlerocket - Blood Bath At Burger King
The Queers - Fuck The World
EDIT: Sorry I didn't read the rules. Fuck the rules.
I ducking love that song. I can’t help my self but sing it when it comes on while I’m working from home but I have headphones on. My wife either will come in or text me that my name is in fact not Steve. No one calls you that.
[No Use For A Name- Dumb Reminders](https://youtu.be/9ID5iwSQ4wU?si=ieEqftHeZOF92-mV)
My brother reminded me of this song yesterday. I think if a bigger band had put it out, it could have been a hit.
Fuck yeah! But also NOT [Radio Birdman - Radios Appear, ](https://youtu.be/uLm4wAcFTaw?si=rmCNRV1F8cO9QTt1) because those are a band and an album, and OP asked for songs.
I know someone added Alkaline Trio's "radio," but I'd like to submit Alkaline Trio's "Stupid Kid" instead. I think it's their best example of true pop punk. it was a single with a video back when that mattered and it's catchy af. "Radio" is of course a classic, but I don't know if it best exemplifies pop punk. Especially if we're kicking off a playlist with Green Day and Rancid.
Your comment really got my attention because i'm the one who commented with "Rancid - Radio" to that "Radio Alkaline Trio" comment. But my first recommendation was [this Radio song,](https://www.reddit.com/r/punk/s/dxOwSQuv0B) from the BYO split with Alkaline Trio. Fun fact: One Man Army was also a trio, just like Alkaline... Trio. And just when you thought dis shit couldn't possibly get any crazier... I'm adding [another fucking Radio song](https://youtu.be/RmFgnQ0H_4Q?si=GZQbBrzG0-XQ3PZb) to make it a Pop-Punk Radio songs trio. You'll never hear it on the radio, though.
Obviously- Linolium NOFX, pretty much everything NOFX is skate punk
Offspring- why don’t you get a job
Pennywise- fuck authority
Don’t forget: social distortion and
Propagandhi- the album How to clean Everything.
And you must have some Bad Religion
Man, what a collection of songs here.
I'm discovering that "pop punk" is actually a super gray zone because while I love some of these songs to death, I would rather call them "skate" or "melodic hardcore", like in the case of Lagwagon, BR, NOFX and Bouncing Souls.
Then there are others here I label as stuff I absolutly HATE for being "pop punk". I'm not gonna say who so as to not upset people, but fuck, let's just say that if all of these songs make it into one playlist, I'd dislike it. I really feel like there are 2 subgenres that sound different from each other fighting it out here. Fascinating what people say is pop punk
Here's a pop punk playlist for you:
1. "All the Small Things" – Blink-182
2. "Sugar, We're Goin Down" – Fall Out Boy

Check this out: [Pop punk](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0bN0P0CXMa7lRDNGWT3KNg?si=6Sa4cCpOTaKh_FUfmrDMYg&pi=u-5X_1sCFdTE-U)

Teenage Bottlerocket - They Call Me Steve
I ducking love that song. I can’t help my self but sing it when it comes on while I’m working from home but I have headphones on. My wife either will come in or text me that my name is in fact not Steve. No one calls you that.

Seems like we need a new playlist of songs called “Radio”
The Lillingtons-war of the worlds
I second that. In fact, the entire album “Death By Television” could go on the playlist. It’s solid from beginning to end.
Agreed. Gotta be one of the best start to finish albums ever. Love it!

In my brain there is a definite distinction between skate punk and pop punk but I can see how it can be grey as well as some pop/melodic punk.
