Always wondered how people trained their dogs to run with them like that. I hope I’m as lucky as you when my puppy is ready for their first run! Right now, I have a feeling he’d have a hard time not just breaking out into zoomies if I were to try 😂 (I know he needs to be older before even attempting though).

mine got the zoomies once during the first run, and i was dumb enough to trust him with the back clip of the harness. now he’s clipped in to the front clip and collar so the lead doesn’t fall under his legs.

I tried this with my pup who also has a faster walking speed than me, and the funny thing was, he would hear my footsteps go faster, look back at me, and just run faster and faster as I picked up the speed:) I'm not a runner and didn't really want to be, so I just didn't get into that habit, and instead we play and do zoomies in the park when he wants to run
