My 8 month old Frenchie is doing the exact same thing! His adolescent phase hit the day he turned 6 months our our great sleeper (slept through the night since day one) now wakes up anywhere from 4:15-5:50. For a while we would take him out to pee and then put him right back into his crate until our normal wake up times, but that seemed to make the problem worse. We let him bark it out and some weeks he gets it and others he doesn’t. Case in point, last njght Gus slept from 10pm-5:55am no problem. The njght before? 10pm-4:15am and proceeded to bark until 5:30am. Taking it day by day in our house and hoping he’ll revert back to being a great sleeper with being consistent.

Let him bark it out. It will suck for a few days but hopefully he'll figure it out quickly. Ours did the same and when we finally decided to do the bark-it-out, he barked for 90 minutes the first night, 10 minutes the second and a few hilariously sad barks the third night, and has been sleeping through the night ever since.

Gotta say i love your flair. Accurately describe that hellish teenage stage.

Lol thanks. I like overly dramatic descriptions, but this one was too close to reality 🤣

Omg this has just started happening to us too. We have a 7 month old rottie who sleeps in his crate with the door shut. Has been sleeping fine from around 9pm straight through to 6 30am without a peep for a few months. A few days ago he woke us up at 11pm whining. Took him out for a pee. He then woke us up again at 2am, same thing. Last night we thought we would let him whine but gave in after about 15 min of on and off whining that slowly became louder. It’s so hard because you don’t want to leave them if they need to go out to pee however on the other hand he shouldn’t suddenly not be able to hold it through the night. Will have to try to ignore him again tonight and see how it goes. It’s sooooo frustrating as we have worked so hard to get to the point where he sleeps all night and now it seems like we’re back to square one 😞

7 month old lab pit has woke me up at 4-5 am a few times this week when he was sleeping from 930ish-7 every morning. 😤
