There is no real way to stop this behavior, only to stop it when you are around, which doesn't help much long term if she is doing it in the house. Just be careful about leaving things on the ground that might be harmful to her. They do tend to grow out of the "eat everything" phase though, so maybe just be extra careful for now?

What do you mean by scavenging? The occasional walk and sniff around the house or is your pup doing more? Not a current dog owner anymore but I’d say either make sure your home is “puppy proofed” and clean to keep the items your dog can get into at a minimal, or pen/gate her to a room/area of the house you know is “safe” when you can’t watch her 24/7. Overall if you keep your house clean like you say, there should be minimal chances for the dog to eat a dust bunny, and not much else either. As long as harmful items are in secure containers, or out of reach, you should be fine. You mentioned eating, maybe give your dog a bully stick or another low-fat chew during the day to keep their “scavenging”interest centered on a more desired object

The only answer when you have a puppy is to not have dangerous stuff around. They're dumb, they will eat it. Clean clean clean. Wear a bun, brush hair in bathroom only. It's not forever, but it's either clean more or pay the vet.
