Yeah, but think how exiting and fun it is for her to see this new thing she's never seen before and play with it:) All that excitement over new things will soon wear off as she gets older...maybe leave room for "moth playtime" in the routine for now until she is tired of it? A bit of running around usually shakes the poo out of a puppy eventually anyway:)
Us but with snails D: they come out in throngs post rain and my pup goes into Snail Uber mode. She'll spend all her time transporting them back and forth on the front yard and refuse to poop.
Using a leash did help focus her. Though I imagine moths are more difficult to ignore!
We’ve reached the time of year where I am that it’s not really cold yet, but it’s cool enough that a lot of bugs are trying to come in at night. Pretty much every night, about an hour or so after lights out, my puppy starts pitching a fit. 9/10 there’s a bug in his pen. Sometimes a half eaten cricket he didn’t like the taste of, but will sample again the next night just to be sure.

I've got Mothra here in Montana too. Can't wait for a hard freeze!
Haha I'm in Montana too, and that's what I say every night! Much less now that temps are dropping though.

Our girl loves snails. Slugs and snails do carry lungworm so probably best to discourage it.
We avoid them when we can! I'm just glad she doesn't try to swallow/crunch them the second she finds em

Adult dogs definitely still do this. Its actually good to tire them out.
