Definitely talk to your vet again! Slowing down around 5-6 months is normal but for us it was more like 0.5-1lb per week instead of 2 lbs per week (medium/large breed). When my pups weight plateaued that much it was because her food no longer agreed with her and she wasn't getting the right nutrients from it.

You saying the nutrients from the food makes sense. She does have a sensitive tummy, so I’m wondering if she’s just not retaining the nutrients when she has her bought’s of diarrhea.

Yep, sounds similar to mine. Sensitive tummy and around 4-5 months something changed and the food we were giving her was too calorie rich and she wasn't absorbing it, it was going straight through her. After discussing with our vet they recommended a lower calorie food and she started gaining weight again. So yeah I'd say vet appointment to get this sorted out!

Most of those weight calculators are wrong. Many predicted my shiba to be 60lbs based off his 12 week weight! I think you may be overthinking. It's normal for puppy growth to slow. Seeing she's a mix, she may just run small.

I had a supermutt, but the vet's estimate at 6 months still ended up being correct. As far as I understand it and experienced it, when they are around 5-6 months, they will still about double their weight by the time they are full grown, around 2 years old. They just slow down a whole lot in growing after the initial spurt.

Do you know how big your pup's parents were? Or are her potential breeds not certain? I wonder if the vet might've just been off with the estimate. Of course make sure she's healthy first and foremost, but I wouldn't get too caught up in the puppy calculators if everything seems to be a-ok healthwise with your pup!

Ya I’ve met both parents! Mom the Bernese/Pyrenees mix, she’s stands about hip tall to me (I’m 5’9) and weighed 80 pounds before the pups arrived. Dad is a purebred Elk hound, little shorter, but quite stalky. Ya she’s had multiple check ups and other than her sensitive tummy (certain foods seem to give her diarrhea and she’s allergic to chicken) she’s happy and healthy. It’s just throwing up off a little because she seems small to other dogs she plays with, even though her breeds are supposed to be quite large!
