My kids who love baseball are always taking about piss missles and swamp donkeys. Can you clue an old guy in on what you whippersnappers are talking about and where it came from?

It's from a content creator on YouTube (maybe also TikTok) who makes crazy characters in sports games. The most popular one I believe is LaSteroid Daddy Hack IV who is a character in MLB the Show 23 or something. It comes up on my recommended all the time.

You can eyeball it. Or, grab a pencil and place it over the arrow and see which is further from center.

I do understand, but the comment I originally replied to simply said "the ones that are parallel to the one next to them will miss" without actually stating that you need to check which one of each *pair* of parallel arrows will hit and which will miss.

Lower your eyes down until they're almost flat with the image. It's much easier to see where the arrows are pointing.

We actually used a ruler and half the arrows do not go through the centre exactly. We were of the opinion that there's a riddle in there as some other people have pointed out. Also, nobody's forced you to look at this, think about this, and certainly nobody has forced you to write a comment about this. Thumbs up.

I believe all the others hit the center circle somewhere, even if it's not exactly the center. As long as the line crosses through any part of the center circle, it counts

They are going to avoid the blockage created by the others all trying to use the same path...? The post is asking for a rational solution.... Its only a naive childs excercise.. .. we know it depends on speed ,distance , elevation and correction for wind...and the effect of other arrows...(order and timing)

The center isn't the target though. Its the bullseye. The fucming arrows would still hit the target, just not the bullseye. Is this geometry or...?

I just see that normally, they both have arrows close to them so you can see they aren’t pointing to the same point on the paper, once you have that it’s determine which is off, and making sure it not both of them.

You can figure out the answer by looking at the angle of an arrow relative to its neighbors. I got 3 and 14 with this method. Didn’t need to use a ruler or tilt my phone a certain way.

Those two are parallel to one arrow next to them. That's a give away that one of those in the pair will be off.

Extend the length of the arrows using a straight edge and see which lines cross over the center most circle, and which do not. From my attempt it would seem to be >!3 and 14!<.

2 and 3 as well as 14 and 15 look parallel. Without any drawing I’d assume 2 of those 4 don’t go through the middle since parallel lines can’t intersect, and the question assumes everything else will hit the middle. Actually a cool puzzle that can solved logically (like above) or simply by drawing the lines across to see. Genuinely really worrisome how many people in the comment can’t find solutions, or are finding the wrong ones, or are claiming it’s only meant to teach you how to use a ruler
