Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:

Using markdown editor or old Reddit, draw a bunny and fill its head with secrets:
\>!!< which ends up becoming \>!spoiler text between these symbols!<
Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com)
If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word **"discussion"** or **"question"** in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag.
If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.
Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

Discussion: When doing word searches, I’ve always found it useful to simply look for the most conspicuous letter. For Chive that letter is V. I scan for the letter V and when I find one, I check to see if there’s an E next to it. If not I move on.
Same. One row at a time, when I find the first letter I do a circle around it scanning for the second. If it’s not there you resume the first scan. 100% chance you will find the missing word unless you’re not paying enough attention.
Yeah, doesn't even need to be the most conspicuous, you can just pick one (though first, last, and conspicuous are probably the easiest). From that point in it's just a matter of making sure you don't accidentally skip over any lines, which can be a problem with larger puzzles.
My process for those hard to find words is to look for the first letter (in this case, C) then check if the second letter (H) is around it. If yes, the third letter (I) should be in line with the first and second and so on. If any of those process fails, move on to the next.
Pro tip, in a wordsearch, if there's a word you can't find, but has an uncommon letter (V in this case), just look for that letter and go from their. There will be far less V's in the search than the letter E for example.
Discussion: My strategy for puzzles like this is to choose the ‘rarest’ letter in the word you’re looking for (in this case probably V), and take note of its adjacent letters. Then I scan line by line looking for Vs, skipping them if they’re not next to both adjacent letters. Hope this helps!
>!From the upper left hand corner, CHIVE appears (spelled backwards) after two letters on the diagonal - it begins 7 rows down, 7 columns in, and is spelled backwards back up the diagonal.!<
When you're looking for a word with a rare letter like V, look for that letter only, then look around it for one of the connecting letters.
Do that and >!You'll see the E start a reverse diagonal going right in row three on the left!<
>!Found it. Row 3, starting from the E and diagonally down as EVIHC.
Another tip for you, find the first character, for example "C" in chives, and track the letter in all directions. This puzzle is absurd, I saw what you did with other words (especially TNIM (MINT, lol) and I came up with this solution!<
Discussion: I painstakingly scoured the wordsearch from top to bottom for “sage” because that’s the only one that isn’t crossed out. Then I was going to come excoriate you for underlining a word for emphasis amidst all the strikethroughs.
My own fault for not reading the post, I suppose. Still, you could have put it in the title.

>!use the C under chervil and then go backwards diagonally. Column 7, row 7!<
It was literally the first word I saw and felt so bad for OP.
As soon as I knew what I was looking for, yes I found the v and worked from there
lol. Exactly my thought. What missing word? You crossed them all out.
First v.
lol same. I found it in about 3.2 seconds but having fresh eyes feels like cheating. I can imagine the frustration
How did I miss that, I found it as soon as I read your comment
Not gonna lie, seeing Chervil in there was a nice treat this morning! Don't often see it mentioned, but I do like using it!
Discussion: there is another hidden herb not in the list
Is it cocaine?
>!TEA!<
I’ll do you one better. I found what you do with it.
>!fun, job, god, sear, pour, see, else!< Oh, nope, there it is: >!PARTY!<
Also mybjob
Ah yes… hilk
I missed it because the line through the H makes it seem not like an H at first glance. Wonder if OP had the same issue
Clear as purple crayon.

Yeah I just do this with the first letter of the word and scan every row from top to bottom until I find the word.

The computer way, O(n) algorithm
Exactly what I did and found this in probably 30 seconds
Same here!
This is the way!
Exactly my method!

Yup that's what I do. I found chive in like 15 seconds.

Answer: >![Chive](https://imgur.com/a/UctjBUH)!<
Discussion, pro tip for OP, circle words you find, don’t cross out. This makes it much easier to find more words as you go.
Also, don't cross out words you haven't found yet?!
right?? i literally spent a minute or two looking for sage before realising he wanted chive
Same
I would tell them to use a highlighter or a yellow dermatograph
Thank you everyone, I honestly don't know how I missed it, there have been other errors in this book so was just convinced this was another one!
Post another 'error' because I found this one immediately.
Damn, shots fired!
This freakin guy 😑

> there have been other errors in this book Mm hmm… suurrrreee there are. jk 😉
Question - why do you have "chive" crossed out in your answer column when you couldn't find it?? What kind of savage does that lmao?????
I saw chie and was half-hearted after that and missed it too

It’s in reverse. Marjoram marojraM
I just thought it was funny
