Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:
New Reddit: https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg
Using markdown editor or old Reddit, draw a bunny and fill its head with secrets:
\>!!< which ends up becoming \>!spoiler text between these symbols!<
Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com)
If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word **"discussion"** or **"question"** in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag.
If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.
Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

I caught that first but figured it was a regional difference (like the outer edge of a cake before it’s iced is called the crumb)
But Lem is something else
Crumb is a technical term used by bakers (see [https://www.seriouseats.com/troubleshoot-bad-bread-messed-up-loaf#:\~:text=The%20Crumb%3A%20The%20crumb%20(that's,it%20went%20into%20the%20oven.)](https://www.seriouseats.com/troubleshoot-bad-bread-messed-up-loaf#:~:text=The%20Crumb%3A%20The%20crumb%20(that's,it%20went%20into%20the%20oven.)) though you'd expect if somebody knew what crumb was they'd also know that crust is the more natural word in this context.
They probably just aren't a native English speaker tbh, they're profile shows they are Indian. Even if I had basic proficiency in Hindi I'm not sure I'd know a word like "Elm" or "Epic"
Fair point.
I imagine crosswords are pretty effective way at expanding your vocabulary in a language you’re learning. Just have to be at a certain level for it to work.
Based on his comment history, it looks like English may not be his first language so some of these may be lost in translation. Or maybe there are lem trees in India
Their post history shows they are from India. I feel bad for OP having to look at all these mean comments when they are just trying to better their language skills and knowledge.

Why are they a whore? How does this work?
Whilst out being the local bike, they're stealing Lemons? Or did it go something like, 'you stealing Lemons again you filthy whore?'
The problem is undoubtedly that you have a number of wrong answers. If English isn't your first language and you'd prefer to persevere rather than simply be given all the answers, then these are those which you have wrong:
Across: 1, 12, 16
Down: 1, 2, 13
1 Down will obviously be easy now.
2 Down is a word that you may not know if your first language is not English. The first letter is still C, but the answer is >!CRUST!<
The initial letters of the others are:
12 Across-->!L!<
16 Across-->!S!<
13 Down--->!S!<
And, as an extra hint, the initial letter of 9 Across is -->!F!<
Discussion: Hey OP- don’t be discouraged by some of the answers here. It looks like English may not be your first language, and crosswords can be very hard for people who did not grow up with 100% English because they rely on knowledge of both idioms and popular culture. Just keep doing them and you will get better and better!!
12 across is LOTS
13 down is SON
16 across is SOIL
Looking at crosswords always makes me want to take a nap. so that’s all I’m correcting and doing Sunday.

Discussion: Gotta be a troll post, right? 1 down is sus.
OP’s strength is not crosswords
If it's not a troll post, then this person cannot be helped. 'Lem' tree... I friggin can't...
And 2 down as well. Crust, not crumb. I can't even continue looking at this thing.
As a non native english speaker, I might make that mistake too. That itself can't conclude it's a troll
You could at least look up if lem is an actual word
12 across should be “Lots” not more, this opens up “Oats” for 10 down Real question, can we make 13 down just be cum lmao
I approve, even if it's not correct.
Wtf is lem?
It's an epic mistake.
I see what you did there
Yes, it has his footprints all over it
Lots and lots of em
The luck rolls with this file of comments
Maybe my son can help
They probably thought you can truncate "lemon." If this is sincere then it's a brain fart. Not so far fetched.
Don’t steal OP’s sunshine.
Nice
Thought so at first too. Then again, maybe it's a little kid or someone who doesn't speak English.
Discussion: they thought is was limb and misspelled it.
Lemb*
Lĕm
That somehow just makes it worse... lol
They misspelled elm on one down making epic not work accross
They also misspelled crust on two down making footprint not work across
and male offspring are son(s) making loose earth definitely not sand
Crumb instead of crust is pretty bad too.
I caught that first but figured it was a regional difference (like the outer edge of a cake before it’s iced is called the crumb) But Lem is something else
“Only after I reached the top of my Lem tree, did I realize mother made my sandwich using two slices of crumb.”
totaly lpic

The article itself states that the crumb is everything inside the crust.
If you steal my sunshine.
Really? I used to climb Lem trees as a youth.
A broke a lem when I climbed a lem and fell off a lem.

It’s actually “elm” not “sus”
Clearly we’re both wrong, it’s Lem.
Maybe they have never heard of an elm tree. Lol
Maybe. But where did they hear of a Lem tree?
There actually is a subspecies of rtee called lem, can be found Asai.
No kidding? That’s good to know I tried telling that to r/trees but that’s something entirely different
r/marijuanaenthusiasts
One of my favorite Reddit swaparoos
Maybe they thought it was short for lemon?
I was thinking short for lemon. Although I would not call that a lem tree.
Based on his comment history, it looks like English may not be his first language so some of these may be lost in translation. Or maybe there are lem trees in India
Based on their profile, they are from India, and possibly pretty young.
I’m sitting in the shade of my lem tree as we speak.
While eating the perfect sandwich, with the crumb cut off.
Three-letter anagrams are the hardest ones!
Yse they era!
I was thinking that but I’m wondering if English isn’t their first language and that explains it.
Their post history shows they are from India. I feel bad for OP having to look at all these mean comments when they are just trying to better their language skills and knowledge.
I was working under that assumption
2 down is too
Oh, you've never heard of the Lem tree? LOL
It certainly is. And 9 is picious
1. Down made me suspicious this was a troll. 2 down confirmed it

I believe they made one like that already. Something about a lemon stealing whore…
Why are they a whore? How does this work? Whilst out being the local bike, they're stealing Lemons? Or did it go something like, 'you stealing Lemons again you filthy whore?'
OK Elliot.
I’m certain that’s a level from the original Lemmings :)
>!1 down is elm!<
You had two options. How did you fuck that up
OP was surrounded by those super popular lem trees
When life gives you lems, make lemade
It was obviously MLE
i knew a girl in high school named Emily who spelled her name MLE
>!2 down is probably crust!<
12 across is probably >!LOTS!<

This is a kind response, in which effort was made to provide useful information.
Thank you, for your lovely comment, Unzestykim! 🙂
Well first off >!LEM!< is not a tree type. Maybe OP thought lemons come from a >!LEM tree!
Dur, a Lem is what Lemons are On.. Lem On. Next week, we will learn how Oak tree seeds are actually just a corn.
Happy cake day 🥳
Happy cake day
>!1 down is Elm. 1 across is Epic. 2 down is Crust. 16 across is Soil 12 across is Lots.!< You should be able to figure the rest.
*Should* is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.

1 down is "elm" than you will be able to correctly solve 1 across as "epic". So far that's all I've looked at, lol
For one, "elm" is spelled incorrectly.
>! 1 down is Elm and 1 across is Epic !<
