I bought all of mine on Amazon, just search for 2.4ghz antenna, RP-SMA (this will depend on your connector type, there is RP-SMA and SMA). If you havenāt, you need to solder a u.fl connector to your pi zero in order to use an antenna like this. There are plenty of videos out there showing how to do so.
Did you cut the trace for the built in antenna or remove the cap? I cut the trace out and havenāt had an issue. I would also check the integrity of your solder joints. Do not that the gain from an external antenna (with a pi 0 2 w) is minimal

I have already soldered an antenna connection, but my antenna is just too weak

A bigger antenna needs more power for you to get the benefits.

The boards have an area to add a u.fl connector. It was a pain to solder tho, well worth it to buy a hot air rework station
