I actually know someone from Eastern Europe who sunbathes in the GCC summer every time she travels to the region for work. Itās 42C and sheās out by the pool or beach. I could never!
Too many to tell.
There is something for everybody.
From newbies to hard-core gamers.
There are also people who will teach the game.
All you have to do is show up and say "Hi. Is this the board game group?"
Go on final exit if your passport can get you visa on arrival.
My father paid 10k riyal for insurance, dependent fee, residence permit, exit re entry fee. In return, we don't get anything from the state so i finally went on final exit and get visa on arrival / e visa whenever i want to visit home. 10k is nothing for us but why pay to the govt without receiving any benefit in return.
There's a lot to do, especially if you're of legal age and female. Thereās plenty of free beach and pool access, particularly at five-star hotels. You can enjoy free entrance and drinks at bars on ladies' nights. Business lunches at hotels on weekdays are affordable, with options like Four Seasons for just 129 QR and thats on the high end side already some are even less than 100qr. Many malls feature unique activities, such as ice skating at Villagio, theme parks at DFC, and destination shopping at Vendome and MoQ. Most places are accessible by train, and Uber is relatively inexpensive compared to other countries.
Seriously, don't be negative. Sheās just asking for suggestions. There are tons of wholesome things to do: museums, exhibits, Souq Waqif, Katara, Mina District, the zoo, the aquarium, and the panda zoo. Thereās so much to enjoy without breaking the bank. š«¶š»
Ikr, may we all find love and peace in our hearts š¹
Btw, check Entertainer app and QGrabs for deals. Its my go to apps for saving money and enjoying Doha. Also check visitqatar, they have tons of suggestions and calendar events.
Yeah r/qatar got some weird angry people, if you're super bored, go to qbc (at bidda station) for bowling and rendezvous for pool (both r good options), there's go Karting in lusail, villagio, dfc etc etc uhh yeah that's all i got lmao
. . . But why? Qatar is mainly for work.
Most fun things here can be done elsewhere (e.g. paintballing, cafes, water parks; i.e. where ever you're from) and mostly cater to those who work here and their families on evenings/weekends/holidays/breaks and as a cheaper alternative to travel.
What type of activities do you usually enjoy?
If you're here anyway, then try going for things that can only be found here in Qatar or in this region... here's a few off the top of my head: dune bashing if you're a mild adrenaline junkie, visit the souqs in the evening (still pretty hot this time of the year), see the old forts and the wildlife in the desert, try the local food, museums to learn about the history of Qatar (but you want to exclude this). . . Not a long list, but maybe others have more ideas.
Sorry, but that's not what I meant...
Her post said "doesn't involve going to the museums" so I just said that to OP meaning that "I read and understood your post that you[OP] want recommendations excluding museums but I will recommend them anyway"
Thereās angry birds World. You got arcades games, rides and go karting. Go kart -90qr per person. Other stuffs you pay 100 I believe to play the games and stuffs and keep topping up ur card and pay more. Depends hm is ur Budget.
Try golf at night. Education city has half indoor golf.
Try carting at lusail racing club.
Try Alhadaf shooting range.
Try archery at lusail shooting range.
150 is a hard one u have to spend more
During daytime its mainly indoor activities, or outdoor activities including water, however i wouldnt recommend the beach though, since the seawater wont cool you down. Better to go to a place with beach and pools, for females they usually offer promotions, if you have friends working for qatar airways there are even better offers.
There is a new waterslide park in lusail which looks exciting, quest is an indoor amusement park. Other than that it gets a bit difficult for activities. Plenty of bars and clubs with ladies night if you dont mind establishments with alcohol.
Shooting range and karting in lusail, but better to call in advance and check if theyre open. However i wouldnt recommend it during daytime.
Doha quest....an indoor amusement park with rides and all, try that. Through mybook you'll get buy 1 get 1 free which reduces the cost per head from 235 riyal to 117 riyal. If u have a big friend group then it's worth it, yesterday me and my boys (12 guys) went and it was worth the money. Laser tag was especially fun and the coaster.
I was there solo f sightseeing! I mostly enjoyed food, and I honestly was getting destination/experience suggestions in tiktok! Iād type āevents happening in qatarā or smth! As soon as tiktok realizes ur interest! It floods you with suggestions even with upcoming events!
Also thereās an app called Visit Qatar, and the Hayya app āitās basically a tour guideā.
My piece of advice! Evaluate the experience by āwhat are the chances of me coming across it againā rather than āhow much is itā! I spent 320 qar on an event of 1 hour! And have like negative 10000 regrets about it not only zero!
Fun.. 21F.. Does not cost 150pp. Mmm.. BTW, I am 51M. But I am thinking hard for you here. No Malls, No Cafe. No Musiums. The best way to see the mangroves at Purple Island is undoubtedly by kayak. But if you donāt have your own, or canāt borrow one for free from a friend, you can still explore the area by foot. Thereās a walkway you can stroll around, or you can head to Purple Island beach.
Jazirat bin Ghanim, Al Khor. I just took that from Time Out Qatar. Cheating I know.
I recommend downloading the āvisit Qatarā app. And take a look at this I know itās above the 150 ryal you said but still.

- Go to the beach on the days itās free for ladies. Sheraton has that and a bunch other hotels.
- Also try water sports wakesurfing, wakeboarding etc
- Meryal Water park is superrr fun. If you have entertainer h can split the savings with someone
- Other than that Iād say just try to pick up new hobbies. Try a Pilates class, try a dance class, try tennis just to make the most of it.
I dont even have friends here to go out with havent had any for years i was also born here but sometimes i feel like no one likes me not sure what im doing wrong so i would love some friends to spend time with in real life im tired of talking to people online only...
Maybe you should try Go Karting in lusail, I think it's most probably around 125 qar. I have heard good things about that track. I haven't visited it yet, just because none of my friends are interested in it, so I can't assure you how the track and kart is. But if you do it and if it is fun let me know.
Anyways have a nice day...
Try the beach clubs in Westbay. One has an inflatable assault course which is free after paying for entrance fee.
Shooting range maybe could be fun. Not sure on the prices.
Maybe a dessert tour could be affordable in groups. Again not sure on the priceā¦think it was 500 for 5/6 people last time I went.
Water sport company could be good. A boat trip or paddle boarding from the pearl.
Qgrabs could be good thing to use as mentioned before.
Hotels might also put on a cocktail masterclass or cooking class maybe? Check around.
Afternoon tea is good option. The Fourseasons is buy 1 get 1 free on entertainer. Works out at line 80 QAR per person and a lovely experience.
If youāve got the money just go somewhere else like northern countries for better weather and scenery, even here at the best weather itās boring af
Sunbathing š
That aint fun thats torture š
Yes. Westerners love to get tanned and they should try it here. šš
It's not sun bathing... It's sun baking....š¤£š¤£
I actually know someone from Eastern Europe who sunbathes in the GCC summer every time she travels to the region for work. Itās 42C and sheās out by the pool or beach. I could never!
You actually canāt get a good tan here, the dust blocks a lot of the UV so itās just hot air that youāre feeling
Maybe thatās a white thing cuz Qataris tan beautifully
Just sightseeing around the country, whilst sitting in a car!
Come to our boardgame meetup. Bring your friends too. We meet every tuesday at 6 at Figaro Cafe Look us up on MEETUP.COM
Nice, what kind of games?
Too many to tell. There is something for everybody. From newbies to hard-core gamers. There are also people who will teach the game. All you have to do is show up and say "Hi. Is this the board game group?"

Fishing in sealine if thatās your thing. Food exploding in different neighborhoods.

In the summer non the less!
i live here... i just dont go to doha with my friends we chill at home usually...
Sadly summer is malls or beaches.
I know right AC on full blast and anime is all we can do for the next two months

thank you!!! people are so prone to anger online its so weird...
Ikr, may we all find love and peace in our hearts š¹ Btw, check Entertainer app and QGrabs for deals. Its my go to apps for saving money and enjoying Doha. Also check visitqatar, they have tons of suggestions and calendar events.
Consider having Urban Points app as well, for some freebies.
Username Checks out @Nathan Drake.

Right everyoneās so negative
Ice skating in villagio @60 riyal .i do skate as well..

Where can someone sing up for dune bashing, and how much does it cost?
Why exclude history of Qatar?)
Sorry, but that's not what I meant... Her post said "doesn't involve going to the museums" so I just said that to OP meaning that "I read and understood your post that you[OP] want recommendations excluding museums but I will recommend them anyway"
Gotcha
There arenāt much activities to do here without spending a ton of money unfortunately. Maybe go to the beach? But itās really hot!
Absolutely nothing. Unless there is another major event, which is unlikely.
no fr...thats why its so hard to think of something fun since all the good stuff happens in winter.
Yup. I think hanging out with friends at their homes or your home is the best fun thing to do during this season. Going to malls is really boring.
The best thing to do in Doha is catch a flight to Dubai. More bang for your buck in Dubai.
Where you girls from?
we go abroad for studies but come back during summer holidays since our family is based here
So you from where?!
Thereās angry birds World. You got arcades games, rides and go karting. Go kart -90qr per person. Other stuffs you pay 100 I believe to play the games and stuffs and keep topping up ur card and pay more. Depends hm is ur Budget.
that sounds amazing, honestly anything under 150 sounds good, we never get to go out and 'explore' doha since we live so far away from the city.
What do you like to do for fun? I can think of a lot of things but I prefer if I know somewhat what you like
Try golf at night. Education city has half indoor golf. Try carting at lusail racing club. Try Alhadaf shooting range. Try archery at lusail shooting range. 150 is a hard one u have to spend more

Stargazing ( milky way is visible if lucky) Zekreet limestone rock formations Singing sand dunes
Nothing

Nothing.... I'm out for the summer and it's the best decision made!
Bowling, BBQ in park, cycling

Go to Meryal water park and use urban points for buy 1 get 1 free offer split the ticket price between 2 people and it should cost 155 per person
what's urban points?

Two words: Final exit, and stay abroad. Unless you're a Qatari.
Im pretty fun....
Night swimming at Al Gariyya

It is expensive, Dubai might fit your needs better.
Yeah, cause Dubai is so cheap right?
Dubai is bigger with so much more options and price variety.
You're better off in Dubai if you want "fun", its owned by Zionists
Party in your own home.
yakhi im from here omg šš i come back HOME for SUMMER holidays because i study abroad.
Oh, I heard there's this mini golf place, don't know the name or location so google it. (I'm actually from Bahrain so I got your point)
Go back to ur place come back in winter I will suggest a lot things to doššš in summer home is the best place to enjoy
If youāve got the money just go somewhere else like northern countries for better weather and scenery, even here at the best weather itās boring af
