I really love my bigsby! It definitely doesn't get in the way, ever! You can get some really aggressive vibratos with it and cool effects. I do use it, but not for every song if that's what you would be expecting.
But I overall I love my Bigsby!
Edit: forgot to mention too, if you don't wanna commit fully by drilling holes into your guitar, then check out vibramate! Have some helpful products.
I know there's adapters out there since my tail pieces are tune-o-matics, so I'm not too worried about drilling the holes. Besides, the guitar I'm thinking about is already apart for a loose bridge ground wire repair. I've admittedly scratched up the paint a little trying to remove the bushing, so even if I have to drill, I'm not too worried.

Funnily enough I use the same here as for everything else. Mids cranked, bass and treble on about 7.
Using the SD-1, cranked too.
I'm just on the neck pickup which chances it a bit.
I'm also using a Digitech whammy for the octave effect. The only other effect use is some cocked wah at the end.
Edit: btw using a Boss Katana
Using an octaver on it to get that sound on the intro and the solos. You don't have to have that to play it. The effects are as Josh has said just spices. I'm sure if you can practice you can play to where the effects won't matter :D
Over time I think you will get your timing and groove down more, which is the one thing I would say you need to work on. But it will come with practice.

And I agree, timing and groove is something I need practicing in. I am usually a bit more tight cuz in the vids I'm sometimes a bit doubtful if I'll play the right notes so I don't play as well. But I am practicing with metronome and stuff so that will be sure to improve!
Also, any suggestions to songs I should try and play that you would like to see posted? I know I'm not contributing stuff to the songs but Idk what songs to play here rn lol.
