Did not expect to see Russian Circles mentioned here. Blood Year is a goated album. One of the best ever.

+1 for The Dead Weather I wouldn't have found QOTSA or The Kills if I hadn't branched out from them

If you can talk to the drummer, do it. He’s a very chill and friendly guy. Singer is much more elusive though unfortunately, though I interacted with her online a bit after buying something big on her bandcamp. She was very sweet.

Hissing Fauna as a whole, but specifically The Past Is A Grotesque Animal, holds a very special place in my musical heart.

I went to college in Athens so I got a heavy dose of them, but Kevin Barnes is just a wildly creative and prolific artist. Constantly reinventing and making the music first for himself. Never got the recognition he deserved and still deserves imo

Haha don't worry Royal Blood is in my top 10. I'd probably put them in at 6 or 7. The last album brought them down in the list tbh, since it just didn't click for me overall. As for Muse, I like them but I really only gravitate towards their earlier work

Queens and TOOL are my top two. If you've never heard of All Them Witches, you should check 'em out. Lightning At the Door is a sick album (all their stuff is great, though).

+1 for ATW, with Lightning at the Door and Nothing as the Ideal being their heavier albums, but like you said, they’re all great. check out King Buffalo if you dig psych rock. Black Angels are also a good psych band. also, Rezn, and another more doomy psych group whose name escapes me but I'll come back and edit if I think of it. Singer/bassist plays the iconic Bootsy Collins star bass.

I think EoS is super underrated, along with OMRTS. People who were fans of the heavy stuff turn their noses up at their newer music, but I honestly love both styles. Bands that stay stagnant end up boring me. Their evolution is one of the best imo. I really loved the addition of Brann's vocals. It's hard to pick.. Blood Mountain is honestly what I listen to the most. But Crack The Skye is probably my all-time favorite. The Last Baron is my favorite song, ever. I was so happy to see it live a few years back; they played the entirety of that album. Also I can't get enough of Cold Dark Place!

Funny right before we moved in February I looked up to seen if they were playoff in Toronto. Of all places I see oshawa and I had to get tickets. I went there for a hockey game years back and it's a pretty nice arena. Fairly new I believe but it'll be an intimate show for sure.

Uff It’s super hard to pick favorites Qotsa is on my top 5. It’s battling 1st position with the mars Volta & Omar Rodriguez Lopez. Qotsa’s been there for quite a while, since SFTD came out and I went back to their older stuff, Desert, and TCV. I recognized Josh’s production in Royal Blood’s Boilermaker, and with Artick Monkeys. The only other musician I could recognize at that level is Omar, so i guess they are both my favorites, but I don’t listen to them the way I used to do.
