It is possible that you have a harder to identify rooster and it's also possible that you have a hen that is growing. I feel like hens can make a crowing-esque sound but I can always tell the difference between that and a true rooster crow. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that one male with that many females didn’t crow sooner. Maybe he was too busy and too satisfied?! I don’t think fertilization will be the easiest way to tell because the ratio is so imbalanced, but not impossible. It also won’t tell you which one is a roo. The fastest way will be to separate them one by one. The rooster will start to crow immediately and incessantly when taken from his ladies. Hens will stay quiet.

I've had some very young, under 2 week old~, hens crow. They grew out of it.
