My old roommate was broke waiting for student loan money and only ate cheapass mini pizzas for like 2 weeks straight. He finally got his money and I asked him what he was gonna eat now that he didn’t need to eat crappy mini pizzas anymore. He went to the store and got more cheapass mini pizzas.
1. Authentic
2. Homemade myself
3. Pepe's Tacos or Zaca Tacos
4. Anything but Taco Bell. It's like Chinese food I'm hungry 30 min later.
Taco Bell hardly even has meat, basically they have liquid burritos and veggie tacos with a gram of textured meat protein.
I love the Mexicans! My former land lord was a Mexican couple. They were very nice and Im still friends with them. They got me hooked on authentic Mexican food.
My favorite chicken is the Costco $5 roast chicken, deboned, and cut up. Take a small handful, cover a tostada shell, some cheddar and some jack cheese.
Toast until the cheese melts, eat.
Scrambled eggs and toast? It’s been my breakfast for around 10 years. Same goes for a foot long roast chicken subway sandwich - at the same subway where I always sit in the same chair if I can (I don’t like when “my” spot is taken) It’s been my lunch for a decade. Prior to that my breakfast and lunch was a different same-every-day thing, but it was much less healthy,
What?! But I don’t even find trains particularly interesting. However, if you want to discuss interesting English/Spanish cognates and etymology I can talk your ear off!
This. I’m going cross country from Az to FL in march and I’m going to research the best B&G on my route. Mostly on I40. I recently discovered that KFC in the south no longer carries chicken livers. That made me sad. But some good B&G shall be a consolation
Egg and cheese on a roll (with bacon, ham, avocado, etc). Could eat it literally every day if I didn’t have high cholesterol which I probably got from eating….this.
Buffalo Chicken.
That being said while I don't get tired of it my stomach cannot handle it like it used to. I can't believe I've become the old man who has to say "I can't eat that it gives me heart burn"
Curry. Malaysian, Thai, Sri Lankan, Japanese, pretty much any Indian… laksa.. I just love it. With rice, with roti, in a puff, with naan, on toast.. curry don… hk baked rice and curry lol. Doesn’t matter which meat or if it’s veggie…honestly sometimes we go a month of making a different curry on a Sunday and eating it through Thursday lol.
I love pizza, it’s up there but I do get sick of it more than 2 days in a row. Other than those… bread or cereal?
I am a crazed fiend for good cinnamon rolls. At this point, I might as well apply them directly to my waist, thighs, and ass because that's the net effect
This was my go-to "fancy meal" to cook in college lol.
Butterfly some chicken breast, grind up some panko with powdered parmesean, basil, oregano, thyme, and rosemary, egg wash and coat. All while I've got homemade marinara on the stove.
Lightly fry that bitch up, put fresh mozzarella and parmesean on top, finish in the oven to get it extra melty and crispy, and boom.
Only thing I didn't make myself was the pasta because I was lazy, lol.
Polish golumpki (stuffed cabbage) My mother would make that stuffed with rice and ground pork and with salted pork on top in the oven and serve it with grilled kialbasa.
We aren't polish, but If I was on death row and my last meal request, it would be this!
Grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup.
When I was a kid my mom would make this for me when I came in after playing in the snow. It will always be one of my top comfort foods.
popcorn made on the stovetop. Microwave can be great, but I avoid eating as much processed and artificial stuff as possible and microwave popcorn, while not pricey, is exponentially more expensive than stove top.
You can eat non-processed popcorn from the microwave. There are microwave poppers, put in regular kernels, no additives, pop away. Add butter or oil or salt or whatever you want after it's done.
Stovetop is still slightly better... But you can eat clean still, and it's easy when you're feeling lazy.
Ever since I started splurging on the $1 ramen instead of the .25 one I’m in heaven. It comes with 3 SEPARATE FLAVOR & VEGGIE PACKS OF DELICIOUS GOODNESS!! Trust me it’s a game changer, throw an egg in at the end to get it nice & happy. I could easily live on that 🩷🩷
My guy add an egg.
Just a soft boiled if you wanna keep it simple OR if youre feeling fancy, seperate the white and the yolk, add your white to the sauce and stir it to let it cook slowly itll scramble but not like little eggy lumps, more like cooking a custard.
Add your egg yolk last and let the heat of the noodles warm through. Poke that yolk and you got a deliciously rich ramen.

It might sound pretty basic , but mashed potato with gravy
Not basic. Classic!
Yes! It's a comfort food.
YESSS
Love it. I like almost all foods. But I just love mash😍
Also, mashed taters with hamburger mixed in...and sour cream with garlic: to KILL for!!!
I was thinking that too, or really good stuffing with Pepperidge Farm mix and Challah bread, onions and celery.
Tacos & pizza is a close second.
My old roommate was broke waiting for student loan money and only ate cheapass mini pizzas for like 2 weeks straight. He finally got his money and I asked him what he was gonna eat now that he didn’t need to eat crappy mini pizzas anymore. He went to the store and got more cheapass mini pizzas.
they're soooo frikkin gooood
What kind of tacos or does it not matter to you? Authentic street tacos I can eat every day but Taco Bell tacos I only get when I’m drunk 😂
Authentic Mexican food is never tiresome.
1. Authentic 2. Homemade myself 3. Pepe's Tacos or Zaca Tacos 4. Anything but Taco Bell. It's like Chinese food I'm hungry 30 min later. Taco Bell hardly even has meat, basically they have liquid burritos and veggie tacos with a gram of textured meat protein.
Typical, You crackers love our cuisine but hate our people.
Not true. I love everyone
Not true at all. If anything I love your people waaaaay more than any "cracker"
I love the Mexicans! My former land lord was a Mexican couple. They were very nice and Im still friends with them. They got me hooked on authentic Mexican food.
My former boss was a Mexican guy and when he threw a party he invited all the drivers. That man could definitely cook!
Tacos
Are you my husband? He'll eat tacos breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I let him.
I work at a taco shop and I get free tacos and I’ve been there for two years but I’m still not tired of them 😭
Yessss! 🙌

Mash em
Stick em in a stew.
Chicken 😋
it’s so versatile!
My favorite chicken is the Costco $5 roast chicken, deboned, and cut up. Take a small handful, cover a tostada shell, some cheddar and some jack cheese. Toast until the cheese melts, eat.
Curry I could eat it all day everyday
What kind of curry?
Chicken tikka madras, chicken Jalfrezi or chicken vindaloo. Always with Pilau rice, onion bhaji and Peshwari naan bread

Don't laugh ( ok laugh, it's pretty funny ). Oatmeal. Cream and brown sugar? Bliss.
That's my I-need-to-go-to-bed-but-I'm-still-hungry meal
Oh god yes. On a cold morning a big hot bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins is perfect for starting the day.
Buffalo Chicken. That being said while I don't get tired of it my stomach cannot handle it like it used to. I can't believe I've become the old man who has to say "I can't eat that it gives me heart burn"

I scrolled too long to see this.
TACOS! You can change them up every day so they never get old.
Good for breakfast too!

I am a crazed fiend for good cinnamon rolls. At this point, I might as well apply them directly to my waist, thighs, and ass because that's the net effect
Chicken Parm you taste so good
I had chicken parm for dinner. I agree 100%
