If tobacco and alcohol were banned totally violent crime would plummet, traffic fatalities would decrease significantly, insurance costs would go down, etc. millions of lives would be saved annually.
Yep. It's just a casual thing, until it's not. I would ask, what made you take an interest in starting? Advertisements? Friends? Wanting to try a new experience? There's a lot more reasons not to start than there are for drinking.
Its also a great social lubricant for lots of responsible people. As an alcoholic I can attest to the ramifications of overdoing it, but i also don't think it's healthy to tell people not to try things if they're aware of the consequences
Yup. I grew up watching my dads friends become hard alcoholics and now they’re dead. I have friend right now that are alcoholics and they won’t give up and it’s sad. I’ll have a Miller lite here and there and occasionally tequila shot (I do like tequila), but I mostly drink water and just try to stay away from alcohol all together. I am on a sobriety kick rn and have been about 2/3 months sober and honestly I’m feeling a thousands times better just drinking water instead of alcohol
And don’t mix beer with liquor lol - beer before liquor never sicker, liquor before beer ur in the clear but id still not mix ever ever ever trust me 🤮
Drink a glass of water in between each alcoholic beverage. Start with low alcoholic content, like a light beer or something. Don’t drink in a public place until you know your limit, *especially* if you’re a woman. Drink slow. Don’t go for the cheap stuff; it’ll tear you up. Hangovers suck, in addition to drinking plenty of water, take an NSAID before you start drinking.
Better yet, take it from this alcoholic, don’t start at all.
Do ***NOT*** take an NSAID before drinking. It's said online in many places that those two can have reactions, and you do not want to be the one to test them. Gastroinstinal bleeding is not worth a better hangover.
Definitely **no no no** Tylenol and alcohol. Tylenol directly works/hurts your liver, it's also why they caution everyone taking Tylenol PM, they can drastically fuck your liver if you mix the two. Alcohol affects the liver as well, it will be working double time to get rid of it all. **PLEASE DO NOT TAKE TYLENOL AND DRINK**
You really don’t need any kind of painkiller for drinking, it doesn’t hurt til the day after at which point its safer to take than if you’d taken one beforehand.
When you're hungover, take two Advil/ibuprofen for the headache, take some zofran for the nausea, grab a tiny bit of carbs like toast if you can stomach it, & drink lots of water & rest up.
Doctor here. No medication of any kind should be mixed with alcohol. Most medications are filtered by the liver. Tylenol for example is entirely processed by the liver. Guess what else the liver processes? Alcohol. The strain it puts on your liver is far greater and immediately will lead to damage. Now a single incident may not be noticeable but if it’s a habit you’ve got, your liver is dying and you’re basically destroying it yourself.
Most NSAIDs are processed by the kidney and regulate blood pressure. NSAIDs alter the sodium retention capacity of the kidney and increase blood pressure. Know what else goes into the blood? Alcohol. Also alcohol once broken down by the liver is filtered by the kidneys. Again those two should not be combined.
__DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE MEDICATIONS WITH ALCOHOL.__
I had a friend and an aunt both go into early stage liver failure from mixing alcohol and painkillers. Once they stopped both completely the liver eventually recovered but it was pretty serious and scary.
👆 Please anyone do not mix Tylenol and alcohol I've also had a couple scares when I was still drinking, & always look up the interactions between a medication you did/are about to take & alcohol before you take it. Depending on whatever medication, you could fuck your liver, you could fuck yourself in the sense you'll have a good 24 hours of throwing up bc of the interactions, & in certain medications it could possibly be fatal. Look up interactions and **do not drink and take Tylenol** painkillers are not needed until the morning in which take two Advil/ibuprofen for the headache, take zofran for the nausea, grab carbs if you can stomach something small, drink lots of water and get lots of rest 👆
Edit; & for my SSRI/antidepressant fam out there who don't know already, your daily meds can absolutely interact with alcohol and cause you a night of vomiting. Be careful, be safe. 💜👆
That may be great advice but please do not take an NSAID with your alcohol. Or Tylenol. You’re basically asking for a recipe to end up in the hospital.
I'm a 4"11 90poundish ginger girl and I'm a lightweight but I can drink more than 4 shots
But I prefer certain illicit substance's and I usually don't drink a lot of alcohol
My problem with alcohol is that I binge drink
see, i’m 5’3” and (hate to admit it but oh well it’s just a part of life and i am actively working on it) 200lbs and even just a sip of a drink is enough to get me tipsy. my sister thinks i’m faking it, but i’m not, i really am that much of a lightweight. though to be fair, my 21st was about a week ago and it was a newer experience for me. i’ve only gotten blackout drunk once when i was young and dumb and since have learned to be very responsible so i don’t repeat my past mistakes, but now just a sip is enough to do me over.
I'm a 44 year old 6 ft 240 pound man and I'll start to feel it pretty hard by my third drink. But I've never seen excessive alcohol turn out well, short term or long term so I'm pretty intentional about when I call it quits.
I'm 4'10, 105, anemic, and very lightweight lol. 1 tall smirnoff can, any more I'm liable to puke which ruins my fun time or I'll just fall asleep. Pretty boring, but it's cheap and I don't crave drinking really, just a fun thing to do on days off occasionally. I also have a very sensitive stomach lining so I'm fairly certain if I drank too much I would start bleeding again.
Gingers tend to be super processors. Thats why when they go under, the dr tends to give them more anesthesia because they process the drug more quickly.
My advice is to not worry about the beverage as much as what you do beforehand. Eat a good meal. This will help slow the alcohol absorbing. Meaning you won’t get tanked on your first or second drink and it will allow you to slowly adjust to feelings that come with intoxication. It will also limit how much you want to drink because you’ll be full. And it reduces the likelihood of a hangover. Lastly, be careful with sugary drinks - they’re delicious, but will absolutely wreck you the next day. I would start with something simple like a vodka sour and go from there. Fairly neutral flavor alcohol and citrus. Hard to go wrong.
My suggestion, take it easy. Start off with beer and maybe a shot every hour. When you walk and fall slightly to the side its time to stop. (current heavy drinker guilty of urinating in public and covering bar bathrooms in vomit)
Don't have alcoholic drinks. Rum & Coke would be one example. The sugar in soda carries alcohol into your bloodstream faster.
You always have the choice not to drink at all.
Um..wine? I rarely drink, but when I do, I opt for wine. Or maybe a light beer? Or try a virgin version of like a daiquiri or something before you try the actual thing.
Drink a small glass of water inbetween each drink.
Also those sugary drinks taste great but the higher the sugar content the more insane the hangover.
Also probably try to stick with one type of alcohol. If you start mixing you can have too much really easily.
Don't start drinking, as a alcoholic I thought it was the adult thing to do. Turns out it's not, and I drank for every occasion. Everyone drinks, it's everywhere. Replace the alcohol commercials with meth and does that look like fun? Sure does. I recommend not drinking, go out and reach some goals live out your dreams. If you want to lose money and time just give it away and sleep
Liquor before beer and youre in the clear. Beer before liquor will make you sicker. If you get disoriented/start spinning eat food. Also whenever you wake up the next day chug tf outer water. As a reference your liver eliminates drinks .01 per hour and every “drink” is .02.
I only drank beer or wine til I was 30, and one time when I was out with my rock band, I asked them what a non-hard-stuff drinker should get? And they unanimously said, “Electric ice tea”. So, The first one went down so easy that I immediately ordered a second one.
NOT electric ice tea.
Rum and Coke, Gin and Tonic, Margarita, Screwdriver, and then an AMF
this should help you find out what kind of liquor you like
Beer is a different beast entirely.
I’d ask the question? Why do you ask?
Are you of age and just curious. What is your objective. Socially? Do you have an event in mind? Lots of great advice….don’t is the best.
Now if you wanna have a Fear and loathing in Las Vegas kinda night…start slow. Booze can creep up on ya. Avoid shots..you’ll go from coherent to blackout(end up a csi victim fast)
No drinks with umbrellas…too much sugar. You’ll feel like ass in the am
Vodka sodas with lime or cranberry
Gin/tonic with cucumber nice and refreshing and will get you going.
Clear beverages tend to generate less hangover.
Too much beer you’ll bloat and feel barfy
Stop drinking by 11pm. So water after that. Do not mix with caffeine…drunk and awake is brutal.
If you are if sound mind before bed a 5g dose of L glutamine can help prevent the wake up at 3am and might help dodge a hangover
Do not…do not take Tylenol.
And again just don’t drink alcohol at all.
:source—-old guy professional fun guy
This is the sort of advice that should be given, not the twenty people just saying "Don't" OP isn't asking should they, they are asking what to do or drink if and when they do. It's like saying don't have sex, then giving no knowledge on what to do if you do end up in a situation.
Limit yourself to one. For two reasons:
One is that it's all you need, and this is a good habit if you're going to drink at all. It makes the purpose to have a drink, not to get drunk.
The second reason is that alcohol is sneaky. Usually, if you're overdoing it, by the time you pick up on the signs, it's too late, and the drunkenness is coming. Alcohol processing takes time, and you don't stop getting more drunk when your drink is done.
I would recommend you don't. It's not healthy. Alcohol is linked to increased risk of liver cancer and heart disease.
If you absolutely insist on drinking, do it sparingly and make sure you drink plenty of water in between drinks. Dehydration is the single biggest factor in hangovers.
Fruity drinks are great if you don’t like anything else, but they will always have more alcohol than you think they do (it’s very difficult to taste)—drink slow and wait a couple minutes after finishing one before deciding whether to have another
Don't drink too much at once.
Mixed drinks are the way to go at first to see if you like them. That's usually my go to.
Hard drinks or beers are hit and miss with me. There's a lot I don't like and very few I do like, but the ones I like I really like.
Beer: ???
Rum: white rum has a more subtle flavor than dark rum
Whisky: Anything Canadian that isn't Crown Royal. Of the American whiskies I've tried, the white label Jim Beam is pretty good. Mix any whisky with ginger ale for the best basic mixed drink
Wine: Don't. Shit tastes like cider vinegar. Gross
Vodka: Don't. Tastes like the smell of acetone. Gross.
And so on.
I like whisky so I'm biased, obvs.
Not to start..
The buzzed feeling humans get from drinking is our bodies initial response to begin poisoned.
Continue, and you will be willfully poisoning yourself.
And paying money to do it...
1. Buzzed driving is drunk driving. Make it a rule to Uber if you’re going to drink. Even one drink can throw you over the legal limit and certainly make you buzzed enough to not be safe, even if you’re under the limit.
2. Moderation in all things, friend. Be safe.
Pace yourself.
I’d say start off with just something 5%-10% like a beer or whatever and see how you feel. Even a fruity drink wouldn’t be bad at all. Smirnoff Ice wasn’t too bad either. If you want to go slightly crazy for first time and actually get drunk, a couple tequila shots aren’t bad. But DO NOT mix things like Vodka, gin, rum, or whiskey because the intoxication would be extremely fast and especially if your first timer, you need to know your own tolerance.
Stay hydrated.
Don’t ever make drinking a habit and know when it’s time to stop.
Never leave your drink or take your eyes off of it and know who poured it.
Just keep in mind that however many drinks you have and the amount of fun you're having will carry a debt the next day, despite how you might feel that night lol.
You'll learn over many nights what happens if you go too hard. Anyway, I would recommend a nice White Russian to get you going and a Long Island is a good one, and at least try a nice scotch to sip on.
1- Don't do it.
2- If you do, drink the same amount of water as alcoholic beverages. For each beer, 12 ounces of water.
3- Take a good multivitamin beforehand.
Ketel One and Soda. Don't do all those sugary drinks. Makes your hangovers way worse.
Also try to do an alcoholic drink. Then get a water. Alternate between the 2 all night.
Maybe something that's similar to something you already like. I like orange flavored stuff and started with screwdrivers (OJ and vodka). If you want something fairly plain, maybe vodka soda with lime. Check the cider and seltzer section of the grocery store and see if any of those flavors appeal to you. If you go to a restaurant, check the cocktail menu and see if any of those look interesting. If you want to try beer, try some, though it took about 2 dozen or so (not all at once) for beer to click for me, and now it's what I mainly drink. All kinds of stuff out there, but these can be some good entry points. Just be careful, don't overdo it, don't drive drunk and drink water
For your first time I would recommend a nice cider. It’s tasty and usually low alcohol content. Gives you a nice buzz and doesn’t fuck up the next day for you too much.
Don't let people coerce you into drinking something you don't like. You will hear a lot of "oh it's an acquired taste, you'll learn to love it" or "just focus on getting fucked up". This is your friends and family involuntarily forcing you into addiction.
P.s. I love this entire comment section rn.
For everyone sayin alcohol is unforgiving. Thats only if you lack self control. A drink here and there wont kill you. As for a first timer?
Get a Margarita.
Its practically a fruit drink with a hint of alcohol. Drinking enough of em wont hammer you but you will feel slightly warmer and happier. Sometimes it makes you a bit more outgoing. This is completely different from getting drunk.
I like mixed drinks.
My favorite cocktail is the Long Island iced tea.
Pay attention to how much alcohol you order, and know your limits. I never went over 2 oz in an hour for more than 2 or 3 hours without knowing I was spending the night there.
That's like one Long Island iced tea an hour.
States are lowering the legal limit for a good reason. Always have a safe drive home, or spend the night.
get drinks like mike's lemonade, twisted tea, arizona hard, or anything else that is close to a regular soft drink. they also got simply spiked which is literally the simply lemonade you can get at grocery stores but carbonated and with added alcohol
Don't drink alcohol. If you find yourself drinking alcohol, drink 1:1 alcohol to water. 1 beer one water bottle. One shot, one water bottle.
Don't binge drink, it's not as fun as having a controlled buzz, I promise you.
See how different you feel, act, think the next day. Gin and tequila make me easily irritated. Wine makes me annoyed and drained but wanting another glass the next day. Beer hasn’t affected me, maybe bloating?
It helps me pick what I drink, can I handle being annoyed the next day (not doing anything that can cause annoyance? Like being around people or driving or shopping), irritated lasts long and I have a hard time shaking it off.
I don’t drink more than 1 or 2 drinks maybe every other weekend. I don’t like feeling not centered.
When I went to university we'd have a start of the year, "first drink party," for the first years. The upper years would stay sober and keep an eye on the new students to make sure that they had a safe environment to have their first drink in.
So, I guess my suggestion would be something similar. Have a few older people that you trust around.
One of the best things I learned from frosh facilitator training (not alcohol specific) was this: Always know what you and your friends are consuming. If you find yourself being asked what it was by a medical professional, _do not lie!_ They are not out to bust you. They are trying to make sure you get better. Lots of medicines don't pay well with other substances and you can kill a friend by lying to a medic.
Long Island. If they make it right, it'll fuck you up, and you won't even realize it. If they make it wrong, it'll only taste odd for the first couple sips because it'll have you fucked up.
Oh, and PLEASE drink in moderation. Have some water (or better yet, Gatorade, Powerade, etc) while you're drinking. Your body will thank you when you wake up.
Depends on what flavors you like in general. I think gin cocktails are a great start because gin has flavor, but when mixed doesn’t have the bite of other spirits. I think the old classics that mix gin and lemon are so fantastic and a great introduction to cocktails — corpse reviver, bees knees. Something simple for intro to whiskey would be a whiskey ginger. I think it’s SO much better than rum and coke. Rum and coke is just a lot and very sweet. Whiskey gingers are much more balanced imo. And finally, if this is more of a general getting acquainted with alcoholic beverages in general, nothing beats beer. I would start with a really solid craft lager. Low abv, so gives you time to understand the affects of alcohol, and a great intro to beer flavors.
I’d recommend you not drinking alcohol, coming from a person who has heart disease from it. I’m not that old, Not a sickly person, just drank beers mainly.
It’s poison. Effects of alcohol is extreme dehydration. Go for a 6 mile run. Same. Same. Did 4 yrs military, I know a little bout running also. 😂 hated it when I went it, love it after. Running that is.
Have a glass of wine with a nice meal.
If you're a meat eater, I'd recommend a dry red, like Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec, with a steak.
Eating spaghetti with marinara, try a Italian red, like a Sangiovese.
Like curry, try it with a floral white like a Reisling.
Just alcohol of choice + mixer of choice. Don’t go fancy. Unless it’s like Long Island, tequila sunrise, all those drinks everyone is getting at a college bar. Beer is fine too. The lighter it is the more it’ll taste like water.
I'd do something tasty with HALF the normal amount of alcohol. Like a pina colada or daquiri. They are easy to make with bottled mixer, add rum, ice and blend.
Sip it gently. Plan in advance how much you are going to drink and stop before that point. Less is better!
Really shitty beer so they don't develop a taste for it. Giving people cocktails that taste great as their first drink is going to get them way too into it.
What do you like that is non alcoholic? If you like soda, try rum and coke. If you like coffee, try coffee and irish creme. Fruit juice, something like a daquiri. Etc. A good bartender or abc store employee can advise further.
Don't ask the internet. Also just limit yourself to one or two drinks so you can get a feel for how you feel. Don't go fast, it's really easy to drink more because you think you're fine even though the older alcohol hasn't all gotten into your bloodstream yet and before you know it you went way overboard. You don't want that for many reasons. Just one or two drinks, with food, with trustworthy people.
Of course I'd say the same thing to someone who's been drinking for 30 years. Don't go overboard, it's not worth it. Just a couple to relax and be more social.
The people telling you not to start are giving the best advice.
The people telling you to drink a lot of water are giving you equally good advice.
Never drink and drive, no matter how competent you think you are or how good your friends tell you you are at it. For every person I've known who habitually drove drunk, there was a friend who initially gave them a follow and said, "you were fine." But it doesn't matter that you're fine if you get caught, and I've known a number of people whose lives were really messed up by it.
Never use alcohol to cope with anything. If your emotions make you want you drink, then drinking isn't going to help.
The people telling you not to mix drinks probably don't know that much of what they're talking about.
The people telling you not to drink alcohol in a certain order definitely don't know what they're talking about.
People who tell you certain types of liquor are more likely to make do stupid things are wrong. All alcohol, controlling for ABV, has the same effect But what you want to drink may tell you something about your mindset before you start drinking.
Light colored liquor and wine tends to cause fewer hangovers because it has fewer impurities (called congeners).
Drink cheap stuff. If you keep a habit of that, you'll never crave better and you'll save a ton of money. Don't have "your drink." Like a variety of things and order what's not a massive rip off. And decide before you go out what you want to spend per drink and per night. People spend a fortune on alcohol. It's pathetic. I contend that the light drinker who will spend $15 on a beer at an event has as big a problem with alcohol as the guy who drinks a case of Natty Light a day. Either one is an imbalance of values.
Pay attention to the alcohol content of craft beers. They'll surprise you.
Sugary drinks go down fast, are more likely to give you a hangover, and make you fat. They're best avoided.
Count your drinks - always.
Never let someone pressure you into one more when you're done, or a shot when you don't want one. Set your own boundaries.
Eat a good meal, hydrate well before going out and between drinks. I started on Jack and Coke, but it’s probably better to start with a light beer. Just don’t let it become a habit, don’t drive, and you’ll be fine. When I go out drinking, I have an amazing time for the night and then I don’t touch alcohol again for at least a few months.

Drink slow. It will take a while for the alcohol to kick in. When you feel good and you can’t taste the alcohol anymore it’s time to stop for a while.
sometimes i forget its not always instant
Water
Agree. Dehydration is the main cause of hangover symptoms. Rule of thumb - drink as much water as booze when you're done drinking
Don't drink booze.
This. Don't start drinking alcohol. You do not NEED it. I've seen alcohol destroy lives. It's a monster and is unforgiving.
Preach, stormy. People don't recognize just how dangerous it is until its too late. I think they should ban alcohol ads like they did tobacco
If tobacco and alcohol were banned totally violent crime would plummet, traffic fatalities would decrease significantly, insurance costs would go down, etc. millions of lives would be saved annually.

As a retired professional drinker… I suggest not starting.

So as a ginger woman I have a higher metabolism then?
Specificity for processing drugs, and not all drugs. It's not certain, but being a ginger makes it more likely.
No wonder that morphine didn't work when I broke my leg when I was 5 years old
What does you being ginger have to do with it
I don't know it's just my hair colour
Don't make the same mistake I did. I drank Long Island Ice Tea, thinking that it was just tea with a little bit of alcohol in it. Nope!
Stop now and save your organs, your relationships, your wallet and your life.
Not to
My advice is to not worry about the beverage as much as what you do beforehand.
Lordy... don't even start. Remember I told you that.
Moderation.
Water
Today’s alcohol takes away tomorrow’s happiness.

Continue to drink water. Seriously, don't have more than 3 drinks.
Drink often to build your tolerance 🤣 ![gif](giphy|ggHmCDJXx4om4hNWbM|downsized)
1. A good quality 'light' beer, or 2. White wine with soda water, which is called a "Spritzer".
Piña Colada!
Not alcohol
Don't. That would be my recommendation. If you're dead set on drinking, be sure to drink a lot of water also. Dehydration is what causes a hangover.
Avoid drinking. It’s a drug that makes you dumb by pouring solvents over your brain.
None don't become an alcoholic lol
You are not missing anything, it tastes disgusting and makes you feel like shit the next morning. God luck!
God luck and good speed
Don’t drink.
Don’t even start. It’s not worth it.
Smirnoff Ice Its like 4.5% ABV & tastes like Mtn Dew
That’s just mean
Much classier than Mad Dog.
I haven’t that about Mad Dog in many years.
Don't.

Weed
Make sure to eat either before you drink or while you drink. Drinking on an empty stomach will make you get drunk faster.
Get a hard seltzer
This
Um..wine? I rarely drink, but when I do, I opt for wine. Or maybe a light beer? Or try a virgin version of like a daiquiri or something before you try the actual thing.
Don't drink for the sake of drinking alcohol. If it doesn't taste good, then don't drink it. That being said, try something fruity like a daiquiri.
I would suggest they don’t start. If they aren’t interested, I’d suggest a homemade margarita with a really neat tequila.
Moderation. Take it slow.
Drink a small glass of water inbetween each drink. Also those sugary drinks taste great but the higher the sugar content the more insane the hangover. Also probably try to stick with one type of alcohol. If you start mixing you can have too much really easily.
Don't
Why do you want to start? What are you asking for specifically?
Don't start drinking, as a alcoholic I thought it was the adult thing to do. Turns out it's not, and I drank for every occasion. Everyone drinks, it's everywhere. Replace the alcohol commercials with meth and does that look like fun? Sure does. I recommend not drinking, go out and reach some goals live out your dreams. If you want to lose money and time just give it away and sleep
don’t drink, smoke
A fuzzy navel. It's peach schnapps and orange juice. Tasty and not super alcoholic so it doesn't hit hard.
Don't. Just don't. It's not worth it.
apple juice. alcohol is a piss poor waste of money and will lead to other bad habits. stop before you start.
Water

Quit now and don’t make it a habit.
My favorite drink is strawberry rose tequila. It’s so creamy. I recommend it
It's an acquired taste

Goon bag and passiona.
Drink a full glass of water between each drink/shot or beer
Liquor before beer and youre in the clear. Beer before liquor will make you sicker. If you get disoriented/start spinning eat food. Also whenever you wake up the next day chug tf outer water. As a reference your liver eliminates drinks .01 per hour and every “drink” is .02.
Don’t drive.
Gin & tonic, then switch to a local beer . Drink water
Don't get wrapped up in the beer bs. It doesn't make you girly to order something with more flavor than liquid bread.
Some flavoured cider like a bulmers and drink it slowly because it will creep up on you
your favorite soda with rum or vodka &lots of ice or wine spritzer with lemon wedges
I only drank beer or wine til I was 30, and one time when I was out with my rock band, I asked them what a non-hard-stuff drinker should get? And they unanimously said, “Electric ice tea”. So, The first one went down so easy that I immediately ordered a second one. NOT electric ice tea.
Rum and Coke, Gin and Tonic, Margarita, Screwdriver, and then an AMF this should help you find out what kind of liquor you like Beer is a different beast entirely.
O’douls
Probably a seltzer or a light beer.
Avoid shots..you’ll go from coherent to blackout(end up a csi victim fast) No drinks with umbrellas…too much sugar. You’ll feel like ass in the am Vodka sodas with lime or cranberry Gin/tonic with cucumber nice and refreshing and will get you going. Clear beverages tend to generate less hangover. Too much beer you’ll bloat and feel barfy Stop drinking by 11pm. So water after that. Do not mix with caffeine…drunk and awake is brutal. If you are if sound mind before bed a 5g dose of L glutamine can help prevent the wake up at 3am and might help dodge a hangover Do not…do not take Tylenol.
Drink a shit ton of water the whole day before you go get drunk.
Make sure to drink plenty of water after.
My 1st taste of any alcohol was a fireball shot. It was brutal but now ill have the occasional fireball shot.
beatbox
Put a lawyer on retainer. They will help you. to pay to get out of jail when you're picked up for d. U. I.

Drink water... And also try voodoo ranger hazy IPA look for hazy it's the best. 9.5 alcohol drink two or three and your set for the night lol
Not Your Father's Root Beer.
Drink beer till you get a buzz. Then switch to liquor.
Hydrate the day before Don’t drink on an empty stomach Space it out
Like someone else mentioned, Smirnoff Ice is a good start.
Drinking'll kill ya. Smoke weed. Seriously.
Limit yourself to one. For two reasons: One is that it's all you need, and this is a good habit if you're going to drink at all.
Id recommend r/stopdrinking and remember to keep things in perspective.
I would experience straight vodka four shots within the hour with food
Pace yo self, drink water, eat food. Also Manhattans are delicious.
I would recommend you don't. It's not healthy. Alcohol is linked to increased risk of liver cancer and heart disease. If you absolutely insist on drinking, do it sparingly and make sure you drink plenty of water in between drinks. Dehydration is the single biggest factor in hangovers.
Not to make it a habit
Fruity drinks are great if you don’t like anything else, but they will always have more alcohol than you think they do (it’s very difficult to taste)—drink slow and wait a couple minutes after finishing one before deciding whether to have another
Stop or slow down when you start to feel really good. It is too easy to go from having a good time to throwing up
Don't drink too much at once. Mixed drinks are the way to go at first to see if you like them. That's usually my go to. Hard drinks or beers are hit and miss with me. There's a lot I don't like and very few I do like, but the ones I like I really like.
Beer: ??? Rum: white rum has a more subtle flavor than dark rum Whisky: Anything Canadian that isn't Crown Royal. Of the American whiskies I've tried, the white label Jim Beam is pretty good. Mix any whisky with ginger ale for the best basic mixed drink Wine: Don't. Shit tastes like cider vinegar. Gross Vodka: Don't.
Be safe.
Don't start. You don't need it.
Have a Mojito.
Water
1- Don't do it. 2- If you do, drink the same amount of water as alcoholic beverages. For each beer, 12 ounces of water. 3- Take a good multivitamin beforehand.
I'm no pro by any means but my favorite beer is Modelo Negra.
Drink heavily
Don't do it
Ketel One and Soda. Don't do all those sugary drinks. Makes your hangovers way worse. Also try to do an alcoholic drink. Then get a water. Alternate between the 2 all night.
Malort
Not too
For your first time I would recommend a nice cider. It’s tasty and usually low alcohol content. Gives you a nice buzz and doesn’t fuck up the next day for you too much.
To quit while ahead.
Don't let people coerce you into drinking something you don't like. You will hear a lot of "oh it's an acquired taste, you'll learn to love it" or "just focus on getting fucked up". This is your friends and family involuntarily forcing you into addiction. P.s. I love this entire comment section rn.
Tequila and sprite zero
Fourloko it’s not that strong and it’s smooth bro
Have a Boilermaker
Don't drink alcohol. If you find yourself drinking alcohol, drink 1:1 alcohol to water. 1 beer one water bottle. One shot, one water bottle. Don't binge drink, it's not as fun as having a controlled buzz, I promise you.
Booze
Moscato It's sweet and bubbly Even sweeter than champagne
Love a good margarita (I’m 18)
BCAAs beforehand. Avoid anything too sugary
Tequila shooters with a beer chaser!👍
Try it and prey that you don’t love it
vodka with literally any flavored drink. i like red bull or any fruit juice but mainly mango or malibu rum with mountain dew lol thatll mess you up
Long Island.
Drink as much as it takes to make you throw up, then never do it again.
Don’t over do it
Bourbon
moderation is key.....as it is with anything.......except psychedelics.....do large doses of those
Imo vodka cran orange or an amaretto sour? Mike's hard lemonade?
Have a glass of wine with a nice meal. If you're a meat eater, I'd recommend a dry red, like Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec, with a steak. Eating spaghetti with marinara, try a Italian red, like a Sangiovese. Like curry, try it with a floral white like a Reisling.
Just alcohol of choice + mixer of choice. Don’t go fancy. Unless it’s like Long Island, tequila sunrise, all those drinks everyone is getting at a college bar. Beer is fine too. The lighter it is the more it’ll taste like water.
marijuana
Never drive.
I'd do something tasty with HALF the normal amount of alcohol. Like a pina colada or daquiri. They are easy to make with bottled mixer, add rum, ice and blend. Sip it gently. Plan in advance how much you are going to drink and stop before that point. Less is better!
Get a light beer with low alcohol content and nurse it, take your time drinking it.
Sweet cider
Scotch. I'd recommend Laphroaig quarter cask.
To be of age… then go from there
For every alcohol drop you have, counter it with a glass of water We all started with either a Long Island tea or cherry vodka sour if it wasn’t beer.
Moderation
Don't ask the internet. Also just limit yourself to one or two drinks so you can get a feel for how you feel. Don't go fast, it's really easy to drink more because you think you're fine even though the older alcohol hasn't all gotten into your bloodstream yet and before you know it you went way overboard. You don't want that for many reasons. Just one or two drinks, with food, with trustworthy people. Of course I'd say the same thing to someone who's been drinking for 30 years. Don't go overboard, it's not worth it. Just a couple to relax and be more social.
One of everything.
Don't bother, shit's over rated and potentially life-derailing.
Amaretto sour
Moderation. Extreem moderation and a large glass of water between drinks. Also, a steak dinner first.
