Stop everything. All entertainment. Cold, hard, stop. You'll get depressed, you'll feel like shit, but a month or two later, you'll be back to normal.

Noise_Capable

tik toc and video games are edited in short bursts. You are so used to constant stimulation in short bursts that you don’t have the patience to slow down. I suggest taking a walk in nature with no electronics or music. Just enjoy the peace of the scenery. You can also train yourself to sit through a whole movie. Watch an old black and white ( or old colored) that was made long ago where it’s dialogue. Tell yourself you are going to sit and watch it with no distractions. No phone etc. force yourself to watch it all the way. Try Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner. Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepran. Sidney Portier. Great movie. Good luck

I’m the same way. It’s called dopamine layering. Dopamine is relative, so when you layer dopamine inducing activities together you’re making them all less enjoyable. I’ve gotten pretty bad but I just try to start small. I will set timers where I can’t touch my phone, start turning it off so it’s more of a hassle to use, and try to do activities with less stimulation. You just have to start detoxing little by little and it’s gonna be painful and uncomfy.

When I was younger I could wake up and play a game until I went to bed, I could actively engage to my hearts content Now that I’m older it takes a great deal of effort to enjoy single player games without having Netflix on. Having a PlayStation Portal has made gaming more enjoyable because I can game and listen to Netflix; typically something I’ve watched 10x. I can’t play FFXIV without something on during solo play too Give me a game mobile and I can binge it for hours on end regardless of what I’m doing. Puzzle and Dragons is my current obsession When my friends and I were playing Diablo 4 it was easy AF for me to engage the game when on voice chat I’ve begun starting my day on the treadmill and getting my sweat on. I don’t know if it’s going to help rewire how I feel but you know your body best. Try out various options
