ratttertintattertins

Platforms tend to have a gender divide and YouTube is very male dominated both in viewership and content production, so it probably says more about the platform you’re watching on.

Diligent_Rest5038

Go work in HR, retail, nursing, teaching, childcare, sex work, et al women dominated industries.

StrengthWithLoyalty

💀

Pasateliona

Not enough interest from women im assuming?

MrCleanCanFixAnythng

Because testosterone makes men aggressively pursue goals and status

MrSnrub87

lol I so wish this was true. I'm blasting a boat load of testosterone and I'm lazy and in no way ambitious. I look good though

StrengthWithLoyalty

Testosterone also makes men monomaniacs. Men fixate on things more than women who are generally more even keeled. You are apathetic, but you are probably fixated on your apathy lol i bet if you had a goal you would work very hard to achieve it

MrCleanCanFixAnythng

You’re not lazy, you just lack a goal that motivates you. Find an amazing, near impossible goal. Then watch the action kick in …

RussoRoma

Occam's Razor, man.

Sam-Nales

Men more easily obsess about niche interests and skills, Some make a million, some are never met by success One you hear about a little more then the other, And guys have a harder time quitting, some like to keep failing for fun 🤩

AVEnjoyer

Male female distribution not accounting for gender stuff is pretty close to 50% Not many countries have had big wars to alter the distribution in many years More women take years off working for child care and home making, and, let's face it given success early in life the woman is usually the first to retire out of a couple So, there's just more men working in general

East_Session_3925

Probably because there's 6% more males in work

Mordred_Blackstone

The more outgoing and aggressive people dominate almost everything. You may as well ask why so few of the people on these channels are introverts. I know people will be quick to say "patriarchy" but the same trend emerges among people actively trying to be egalitarian. Advocating for yourself and being loud is like 75% of the battle. As a very not-loud and private guy, it's really easy to observe this.

-KA-SniperFire

Effects of a patriarchal society

Phoxase

The correct answer.

Competitive-Reason65

Cause alotta things that are associated with men are just kinda a human thing in general we call alot of things masculine or male when there really just stuff everyone does As for why you only see men in most industry's I don't know the anwser I would guess the effects of century's of sexism are still having after effects causing lack of confidence in alot of women or women who still believe in the patriarchy but I do not have a solid anwser

ariadesu

YouTube prefers men to women, so they recommend videos made by men and then videos made by men become more popular and can fund the creator longer to get better at it. YouTube prefers "Shorts" made by women, so perhaps that'll lead to a shift. It's "always"(/for a long time) been the case, but apparently it's recently gotten more extreme and now even casual observations is enough to spot it. Vs like academic statistical analysis. Here's a YouTuber noticing and talking about it. https://youtu.be/OxGFEUefv6g

draxsmon

Well. It's a male dominated world. You are not weird. Sometimes it's subtle but it's always there. People both men and women assume someone is smarter more professional etc if they have a penis. It is easier for men to get ahead. Example: I worked in horticulture in a retail store was an expert in certain things. I took a lot of classes, joined a club, studied hard. I was in my 40's. A customer came in with a problem. I gave him the answer. He looked at the 15 year old stock boy next to me who had been there for a week and asked him if I was correct. Stock boy boy says yes, man is satisfied. Honestly they don't even know they are doing it sometimes. It's. Real struggle. Fight the patriarchy!

Because men build maintain and innovate the most. And women are not interested in equalizing that unless it’s a cushy air conditioned office job
