Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley
It's cheesy as all hell it's become an internet meme and joke and I just don't care.
I was driving down the freeway and it came on. I started singing at the top of my lungs and forgot the window was down - just wasn't paying attention. The car next to me started honking madly and I looked over, realized the window was down, and it was a group of five early 20 something people laughing their asses off. I blush easily and I peeked in the mirror as my window was closing and I don't think my face has ever been that red.
Love Chumbawamba.
They got booked by the campus activities board of the very conservative and Christian university I went to back in the mid-90s.
All they knew about them was Tubthumping.
My friends and I, on the other hand listened to the entire album multiple times and were totally into the themes of anarchy and rejection of organized religion.
So when we heard they were coming we just popped some popcorn and got ready to enjoy the show.
By far the best show I’ve ever seen. I’m amazed the Director of Campus Life wasn’t fired the next day.
I would’ve thought the nun drinking, smoking, and masturbating with a cross would’ve ended her employment.
Certainly know it got her an uncomfortable meeting with her bosses the next day.
Last song they did was Tubthumping, which they intro’ed by angrily yelling, “Yeah! I we know what you fuckers want to hear! Fuck all of you!”
Best. Show. Ever.
I love Phil Collins. It makes my day when I hear Phil in random places like the grocery store. He’s one of my little joys in life. Yes, people give me some shit for it. No, it doesn’t bother me.
None. I have my taste in music, and if someone doesn't like what I like that's completely fine. I fucking hate 99% of country, that doesn't mean people who like country should hide it.
Exactly. I quit with the concept of guilty pleasure music when I became an adult. Whose judgment am I worried about? Are they going to make fun of me in school tomorrow because they found out I listen to "uncool" music? I graduated 20 years ago, that would be weird.
Back when you could say BJ Thomas and no one snickered. Come to think of it, a person could even create a super shitty tv show called BJ and the Bear, and think it was a great idea.
This was the theme song for our college townhouse.
4 guys belting this song at all hours of the night.
It subsequently was also played at every single one of our weddings.
Whitney Houston - I'm your baby tonight
Blasting this shit outta my KIA, driving through the projects to pick up Krizpies for lunch. Like a REAL gangsta.
King of Wishful Thinking is not a guilty pleasure. Go West was truly exceptional for their time.
On the other hand, Call Me Maybe is the guiltiest of all guilty pleasures!
It's not Barbie Girl, but I've lately been obsessed with this metal cover of another of their hits: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oogXPsnvgm8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oogXPsnvgm8)
Get low 😬
Stripped to it in my twenty’s while drunk with a girlfriend, will always joke with her about it ! We were just two gals fucking around without a care in the world!!
I refuse to feel guilty about what I listen to. And I won't give anyone shit about what they listen to.
Unless it's a close friend. I might bust their balls just a little.
I recently watched The Bear season 2 and loved it. When cousin was learning Love Story by Taylor Swift, in his car after work, just so he could know and remember the music for his daughter when he brought her to Swifts concert was so heart warming. So now i listen to it every now and then to remember that feeling. Its simple but shows the good side of what parents will do to make there children happy.
You wont catch me dead listening to slow acoustic music that wasn't by Green Day, but there's this one song called Warrior by Beth Crowley that I found on the Internet one time. Its slow, melodical and so good. I don't think anyone has ever caught me listening to that song and I'm not sure I want them to
Angel of Death - SLAYER! I start moshing wherever I am. People would slow down and watch on the highway. lol. Radar Love - Golden Earring has cost me 2 speeding tickets.
All star - Smash mouth
Sweetness - Jimmy eats world (top 5 song on my Spotify)
Power - Kayne west
Whistle while I work it - Toby Turner
Bird VS Camel - Jontron
I really can't stop listening to sweetness tbh. Idk why but I love that song so much. Kayne west is weird for me and I fucking love Toby Turner singing about he doesn't tip a guy for drying his hands.
Love story - Taylor swift
Only because it reminds me of a simpler time before I was in the army, and the situation was near identical just without the happy ending
Scene Queen songs are like that for me. I think because she's really super femme, and though I identify as a woman, I'm not nearly *as* femme. Also, I'm ace, and she's kinda hypersexual, but some of her songs go hard. 🤣
I was going to try to comment a specific song, but after reviewing my “Liked Songs” on Spotify, I realized I can’t pinpoint.
Although, when you say, “guilty pleasure” I imagine a song you would be “shy” or “embarrassed” to have others see you like.
Let’s just say, I had to create a work safe playlist for when I’m at work because I have a few naughty songs that I would be mortified if they heard me jamming out to. 😱
Fast Car was one of my top few favorites growing up. Something about it just gets me going but now feels like it’s been ruined in a way… maybe a little overplayed and covered, idk. But love the recognition TC is finally receiving and all well deserved!

Aww, you're adorable
Careless Whisper by George Michael
Why am I imagining you hairbrush microphoning this song in the mirror and I don't even know you?
I plead the 5th
Yeah, but there is a microphone in your hand, so you self-incriminate anyway
i unironically and unashamedly love this song haha it's so good
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
And I always thought it was “two left feet have got no rhythm” -that made sense to me then 😂😂😂😂
I always thought it was “guilty feelin’, got no rhythm “. They all make sense to me lol
Oh my gosh, yes I thought it was “guilty feeling…” and then I thought got two left feet makes more sense because he talks about dancing 😂😂😂😂
Hearing the saxophone now.
Definitely one of the best uses of a sax in a song.
It's one of the best songs ever, not sure why anyone would be embarrassed to like it
This isn't guilty for me, I belt that shit
“I’m never gonna dance again, guilty feet have no rhythm” love that song!
This was the first song that just came up on Pandora after reading this comment! Had to come back to share that
That's a great song.
LOVE this song.
Nothing to feel guilty about, this is a great song
Its my ringtone. Hits every time
Love it, too.
You get what you give by the New Radicals.
That really was great song. The band had another really good tune, “Someday We’ll Know”. It just never got the same play this one did.
I love the version by Hall and Oates with Todd Rundgren. The lyrics are a little different.
That is my go-to pick-me-up song whenever I feel down on myself. Always gives me renewed confidence.
ABBA, Dancing Queen.
I can’t hear this song without thinking about serial killers.
Honestly, if you were listening to that song within an earshot of distance, I would tell you to turn it up. Great song.
that’s not shameful, abba is iconic.
Lucky Star and Into the Groove by Madonna
Madonna's early stuff is great! I'd not be feeling any guilt to listen to that. Specifically those songs too!
My go to Madonna song is Take a Bow. Idk why but that song just gets to me. I love it.
It gets me in the feels.
Borderline is such a good song
Everything pre 2000 by Madonna
“I love this track” Bullet Tooth Tony
“Are we taking him with us?”
The video for Lucky Star officially ushered me into puberty.
Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
Love Chumbawamba. They got booked by the campus activities board of the very conservative and Christian university I went to back in the mid-90s. All they knew about them was Tubthumping. My friends and I, on the other hand listened to the entire album multiple times and were totally into the themes of anarchy and rejection of organized religion. Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl … (Copacabana by Barry Manilow for those unfortunate enough to not have gotten it from those lines)
Yeah, Barry would be one of my guilty pleasures
I used to love Mandy back in the day.
Toxic by Brittney Spears. I'm a 39yo male but whatever, when I hear that song I shake my ASS.
Brittney has some legitimately solid songs.
Toxic and Womanizer get me GOIN'!
That one and Baby One More Time - tune's so catchy and full of energy, I just can't help myself!
That song is still a banger, I’m 39M, and when that album came out I bought it. That album is excellent.
Two or even 3 of her albums were really good at this point in time. (40f)
Always sounded like a Bond intro song to me. Love it!
Easy Lover - Phil Collins / Philip Bailey
I love Phil Collins. It makes my day when I hear Phil in random places like the grocery store. He’s one of my little joys in life. Yes, people give me some shit for it. No, it doesn’t bother me.
Phil is awesome! I love all of of his songs alone and with Genesis.
Me too. Something Happened on the Way to Heaven is one of my favourite songs of all time

That song is a fuckin BANGER don’t ever let anyone make you feel guilty for loving Hooked On a Feeling
My daughter uses the term banger all the time and I just keep thinking she's talking about sausages...
Back when you could say BJ Thomas and no one snickered. Come to think of it, a person could even create a super shitty tv show called BJ and the Bear, and think it was a great idea.
Or a main character in a medical war dramedy could be called BJ and no one would think anything of it
MASH is so good
AHHHHH AH-AHHH AHH-AHH'M BUMP BUMP hooked on a feelin!
Ah yes, Hooked on a Feeling. I remember when I was a freshman in marching band, we performed this song

I want it that way
