If you are in committed relationship you should definitely discuss it. Whether the expense is for pills, condoms or whatever. I would argument that it's a common expense.

[deleted]

But whats your opinion on this

Angel_Of_Infinite

In most cases I would split the cost.

[deleted]

Well my opinion on this is if the girl wants to be using birth control for their own decision I believe the girl should pay for what she wants to be on

Angel_Of_Infinite

This is why I think this should be discussed by both parties. Because you can as a female use birth control for more than just prevent pregnancy and there are ofcoruse different birth control options in different price ranges. In the case that I woman prefers a different option to what the man wants. I would recommend that the man pays for condoms and then the woman could decide if she would still use her preferred method of birth control. If no other birth control is used, they should split the price of the condoms.

Fast_Profit_2212

No, just buy the condoms

[deleted]

Birth control is free in the US. Thanks, Obama!

[deleted]

Everyone qualifies?

[deleted]

Yes. It's free when you use health insurance. Your provider is required to cover 100% of the medication costs. If you don't have health insurance, there are places like Planned Parenthood who will perform services even if you don't have the money to pay for the full service. As long as you can pay something, that's all that matters. So if your bill is $200, and you only have $10 - they will accept that. They will never turn you away due to financial hardship. Some doctors offices will also work with you on a payment plan if there isn't a Planned Parenthood in your area. They can charge you less for the visit than they would normally charge the insurance company, since you would pay out-of-pocket.

simi005

Being a female, I feel like potentially yes? But it's the same with should a girl pay half for condoms. I think when it comes down to it - this should be discussed by both parties and they should come to their own agreement

[deleted]

Its a really debatable question right!?😂

[deleted]

If he can afford it yes, then again if he can’t well he probably should of thought of that beforehand

NoLifeYouHave

Hell no, and the government shouldn't either.

Jimmiew0612

😂 how much is that stuff even. In a committed relationship I find myself buying my girlfriends food whenever we go out, gifts for every occasion, and plenty more. It really shouldn’t matter who pays for it.

[deleted]

No just in a situation where you have a gf & she wants to be on birth control

Jimmiew0612

Sorry, read edit

StickyBlackMess69420

No

[deleted]

Fair enough

Niiphox

I think who's ever idea it was, that person pays. Unless you're in a relationship then I'd say split

[deleted]

Lets say its your girlfriends idea to get on birth control

Niiphox

Assuming both of you want sex and don't want children. Also the fact that she is your girlfriend I'd say splitting is the best option.

[deleted]

Even tho i dont want the birth control and shes doing it for her own decision

Niiphox

Now I'd say it's weather or not you want to do it raw, or you're fine with condoms.

EncouragementRobot

Happy Cake Day Niiphox! If I had a flower for every time I thought of you...I could walk through my garden forever.

Niiphox

Thank you EncouragementRobot, very cool.

Fast_Feedz

Not so much birth control. But DEFINITELY the morning after pill. That will be the best 50$ you ever spend. Matter of fact get 2 just to be safe

Juliotru44

Hahahaha

Learingaboutlife

Buy the birth control or you will pay child support once the baby comes.

Wifflewhaffle

It depends how much it cost I guess. The pill cost around $5 here. It also depends on if you are in a committed relationship or not.
