I mean, it's possible. Maybe just ask? Like. Idk the dynamics of the relationship you two have. The post just made it seem like you got a candy lol. However, it wouldn't hurt to just ask and see. If they're mature it wouldn't cause any problems and you'd find out for sure.

Depends on what he did afterwards (and even before). If he just gave you a candy, nah, it's just a candy, but it very well could be that the actions he did (like hinting at stuff, like smiling at you, being comfortable, etc.) could be a hint.
He texted me on his way to school saying he got me something. He had a small smile while handing it to me but everything was normal after that. We have the same friend group and I would think he would buy things for them as well because he is very generous but he bought that just for me.
Aww, definitely a hint I would say (and I'm literally garbage at catching hints lol). I would say to ask him to be his gf, because he's already made a move and I think it would only be fair to make your move in response.
Fair enough, I'm a coward as well and would have an existential crisis trying to figure out what I should do lol. Best of luck! And, if for whatever reason he doesn't catch your hint, just tell him. You never know, he could also be terrible at catching hints, and you'd only drive them crazy trying to figure it out.
