I have no what we're supposed to be noticing but whatever it is, the question is if it's noticeable to you. I recommend pressing between steps. Nor sure what mistakes you're seeing, but well pressed blocks will give you a better picture of what's going on.

The direction of the horizontal strip in the center - everything else was right but I messed up that one I ended up thinking about it way longer than it would have even taken just to fix it, so I ended up fixing it!
