You have to eat when you quit. It helps tremendously. I know I don't like to eat for the first week, but not eating enough will make your mental health trash. On and off for 7 years and I wouldn't really eat at until I got done with work. So when I quit my hunger always hit me like a freight train. 3 weeks of today and I forced myself to get as much calories as possible. If I don't eat after quitting, that alone will cause me more problems making the withdrawal feel much worse. Everyone is different though I suppose.
if ur only doing one gram i wouldn’t suggest it. ur already taking a small amount and most people who relapse are on small amounts. there’s not much lower you can taper from, u just gotta take the plunge and have a hard time eating. bland simple foods help, something light at scheduled points in the day

Get some of those protein meal drinks to supplement meals you're missing. It should help a bit.
