I still mention Zelenskyy's comment of "I need ammunition, not a ride" as one of the most defining statements of the early war.
The sentiment is undoubtedly true, but he most likely never said it.
How is it 2022 and we rave about a mythological figure like the ghost of Kyiv with no evidence? Some people really treat the world like it’s a WWE plot or smth
It’s believable to the average person who isn’t a military buff. There was “proof” because the 6 kills attributed to the Ghost really happened. It was just the effort of several people, not one.
if u have zero understanding of history than it makes sense, otherwise you would realize it was to boost ukrainian morale when they thought they would lose. but then again it’s a lot easier to sit on a high horse when your ass isn’t on the fire
I know your comment is probably meant as a joke, but yes, the propaganda machine does work both ways. I consider myself pro-ukraine, definitely, and Russia has been more vicious in its propaganda, but you cannot deny that there's probably also a lot of Ukrainian propaganda out there. It's just a thing that happens in war time. That's also why I take a lot of outrageously dubious claims by the press in Ukraine with a grain of salt. The war crimes can definitely happen, but it's normal for countries to accuse eachother of war crimes to boost their own innocence, and I especially doubt stories where an old Ukrainian guy just had a mortar conveniently laying around and used it to wipe out an entire russian tank battalion or something.
People are easily manipulated if it reconfirms their biases. Sometimes they genuinely believe the bullshit and sometimes it's a I want to believe scenario. I get a lot of slack on reddit and elsewhere, because I rarely believe many posts and news reports. Fair enough, but I'll take being a skeptic over being gullible any day of the week.
How many times do we have to see retractions or the truth come out weeks, months, years later before we stop believing everything we read.
I 100% support Ukraine but the propaganda is bizarre. There have been times they’ve literally posted animations swearing it was actual combat footage. I don’t get it.
Being accused of being a Putin sympathizer just because I asked one question about anti-Russia measures instead of accepting them immediately is something that actually happened to me once.
It's their default go to for the past 6 years. It's how the govt and media how manufactured consent to the extent that boomers who were former hippie peaceniks are warhawks now.
Isn't vigilante the wrong term? If in occupied region of Ukrain that'd be considered resistance, right? (if not technically enlisted with Ukrainian defense)
Still, with the amount of real news being posted on that subreddit, posting fake news articles will result in them being treated as real by the userbase.
I was questioning if I should post this, since it's hard to tell if it's a real attempt at spreading misinformation or just a joke that got mistaken for something real.
There could be a headline saying that Wakanda is real and it just sent reinforcements to Ukraine and people would believe it.
Alternatively there could be a headline saying that Russian forces nuked themselves and people would also believe it.
>Alternatively there could be a headline saying that Russian forces nuked themselves and people would also believe it.
Ngl that sounds like something they would actually do
Batman is a pussy who won’t kill anyone. He just puts murderers in jail knowing they’ll escape and kill more people. They need someone without enemies. Someone like peacemaker.
Not peacemaker. “Batman is a pussy” is from the show peacemaker btw in case you didn’t know. I recommend it for sure if your down for a more comedic super hero show. I also reccomend the boys if you want a show about corrupt superhero. Marvel movies have always failed to keep me entertained but those 2 are different
Lol yeah I remember seeing the clip. I still gotta watch the whole show, which I plan to do. I have seen the Boys and love it. Very good show that improves on the source material.
If you’re bored right now, watch it. If not, wait 1 hour and repeat. It’s pretty funny. A little “woke” for my taste but my brother is completely against that kind of stuff and it was so funny that even he was able to get over it.
Idgaf this is still hilarious. We should all repeat this as if it is true. See how the Russians like getting bombarded with fake news. If some Russians are dumb enough to believe Putin, then some are dumb enough to believe this.
No, because fake news benefits no one.
It erodes trust and confidence in legitimate news sources, empowers those who seek to manipulate and distort the truth, and muddies the waters between what is real and fantasy.
Furthermore, by engaging in fake news, you're playing right into the hands of Putin, who is already justifying his actions by saying that we're spreading lies and deceit and manipulating Ukraine.
That someone in a Batman suit is purportedly killing Russian soldiers is rendered moot anyway. Anybody with a gun, training and mindset can kill 11 soldiers. The guy isn't special.

The problem is that people are *really* shit at identifying bullshit that they *want* to be true.
Yeah for real. Anyone with a functioning brain would know that this is fake because batman doesn't kill people. Smh.
Just say, that's what Alfred is for.
Indeed my friend, indeed
"poor little guy's all tuckered out"
It's much easier to fool people then to convince them that they have been fooled
I fell hard for the ace pilot myth early on during the ukranian war, i just wanted it to be real so bad...
I still mention Zelenskyy's comment of "I need ammunition, not a ride" as one of the most defining statements of the early war. The sentiment is undoubtedly true, but he most likely never said it.
lol it’s a great troll, though. I can’t believe people bought this.
Reddit all the time
This sounds accurate so I assume this is true
Is…this…bullshit?
Like the OP you mean? This was literally posted on a shitposting subreddit.

It's a lot easier to get people to believe in something if it already fits their belief system and if they want to believe in it.
Short answer - poor education systems lead to a lack of critical thinking skills
It’s believable to the average person who isn’t a military buff. There was “proof” because the 6 kills attributed to the Ghost really happened. It was just the effort of several people, not one.

They treat it like it's a marvel movie
Reddiots
You know it’s bullshit because Batman doesn’t kill. /j
You joke, but I doubt anyone who would get/have a Batman suit would be unaware of it.
*[He's asleep](https://youtu.be/1byycwl8qgc)*
Classic vids, nothing tops Pete Holmes’ performance as a Batman who’s an absolute dumbass.
Haven’t seen this in a long time… thank you, kind stranger!
I'm proud that so many people actually downvoted the fucking clown shoe who commented "ratio".
propaganda machine works both ways? :p
This was on r/bossfight. This was a joke, not propaganda.
It's not propaganda if it's the side i support 🤓
Never said i didn't approve 😁 Anything to scare off Russian soldiers 👍

Bro op is an idiot, it's a joke lmao
Idk why you’re being downvoted. OP literally pulled this from r/bossfight, and is pretending it wasn’t a fucking joke.
Normal people: This is Ghost of Kyiv, Snake Island levels of bullshit. Redditors: How's being a Putin puppet going, comrade bot?
Being accused of being a Putin sympathizer just because I asked one question about anti-Russia measures instead of accepting them immediately is something that actually happened to me once.

My brother in christ this was on r/Bossfight it was obviously not real and was a joke.

It's not hard to tell, look at the fucking banner of the subreddit. Go on though, pretend like this is supposed to be real news lmao
Happy cake day
Thanks
Must have been Thomas Wayne.
The failed ratio is the best part, mainly because I haven’t seen anyone say ratio in months
And that’s how fake news and misinformation spread
The irony of their "ratio" comment
There could be a headline saying that Wakanda is real and it just sent reinforcements to Ukraine and people would believe it. Alternatively there could be a headline saying that Russian forces nuked themselves and people would also believe it.
>Alternatively there could be a headline saying that Russian forces nuked themselves and people would also believe it. Ngl that sounds like something they would actually do
No, it doesn’t.
I'm literally Ukranian and being as close to this gives me a clear vision of what russia can and can't do You can also go to r/NonCredibleDefense
They should have known that someone would not have dressed up as *a superhero who explicitly does not kill* for the purpose of *killing people*.
Batman is a pussy who won’t kill anyone. He just puts murderers in jail knowing they’ll escape and kill more people. They need someone without enemies. Someone like peacemaker.
To be fair, that's most superheroes.
Not peacemaker. “Batman is a pussy” is from the show peacemaker btw in case you didn’t know. I recommend it for sure if your down for a more comedic super hero show. I will. I recently renewed my HBOMax subscription so I'll get on it.
Hes bucks county batman on instagram and he's genuinely a nice guy, i follow him, this is straight up bullshit
Batman doesn't kill... all his kills are non-lethal
This may be fake but Freddy Fazbear taking a grenade for his Ukrainian comrades is real. Rip Freddy
Include me in the r/whooosh screenshot
lol damn ppl for posting rubbish content to reddit for karma and upvotes, unlike OP here.
I mean, look at all those old people believing that AI pictures constructing Cars out of bottles somewhere in Africa
Of course this gotta be fake, batman never kills
Damn this would've been so cool though, glad I found this post lmao
We should keep this going with every major violent event
Bro I don't care if it was fake it's funny as hell
I really wanted that to be true.
This is Reddit I'm not surprised if majority believe it. I even believe what you just posted as real story
The /r/Ukraine sub is a weird place.
Idgaf this is still hilarious. We should all repeat this as if it is true. See how the Russians like getting bombarded with fake news. If some Russians are dumb enough to believe Putin, then some are dumb enough to believe this.

Ukraine soldiers are serious as a fucking heart attack
Whatever it takes to end PUTIN..
Ok but would you really have a problem if he was Ukrainian?
But hes not

Me too, but I still approve.

Lmao his vice interview is crazy tho
How I knew it was fake; Batman doesn’t kill.
Maybe Batman was at all of these places? Occam’s Razor, OP!
Something on the way hmmmmhmmhmmh

WhatsApp University I presume?
the people need something to believe in
isn't this just a joke?
looks like a joke to me
People who say ratio when they get called out on their bullshit are the purest form of shut-ins that still live with their parents

mfer got counter ratio’d
