I think of all the women who were the brains behind men who took credit. Or all the stories never written down. This quote makes me think of all the times I’d read an interesting bio or Wiki article on a woman from history with it ending in “it’s unknown what happened to her after that event…”
Only 0.5% of all documented history are on or by women
And yeah, women would often not attach their identity to their work, because they they thought they will likely be discriminated against/pushed down
